Since 1990 I have found both of my birthparents, four siblings (three of which were also placed for adoption) and a few aunts and uncles. My birth mother is now deceased, and a friend of hers has been kind enough to pass on some photos that she left for me. I lost contact with my birthfather, and I believe he may now be deceased as he was in poor health the last time we spoke. The two brothers and one sister chose not to stay in contact, although she did express a desire to meet at one point. As for my oldest sister and other birthfamily, they desired privacy for the time being and I've since lost their contact information. I do have one brother who I have not yet made contact with; I have a possible address for him but due to some very special circumstances I believe contacting him requires the utmost care. Life has a way of throwing twists and turns at us, and sometimes we need to hold out our hands and say "I can't do this on my own."
