What i am about to tell you is in no means THE only way to follow Wicca. I strongly suggest you find out about as much as you can before choosing your path, and also listen to what you feel inside.
I suppose you could call me an eclectic Wiccan as i take in what i feel is right for me and mold everything together to make it fit. But i am currently looking at Celtic Wicca as a possible path as a lot of it seems to fit and also because i come from scotland. But here is what i believe just now. As i continue to develop my beliefs i will update this.
I beieve in the Goddess and the God. I also believe in Spirit. I believe that Spirit is in everything, everything is Spirit. The God and Goddess are Spirit too therefore They are in us too, as well as being everywhere else. The God is represented as the Sun, He is the fighter, the warrior. The Goddess is represented as the Moon. She is the Mother, Maiden and Crone.
I believe that when we die, we firstly go to the Summerlands. Once there we can meet anyone whom we knew in life, for although we don't call it by the same name, for example Christians would call it Heaven, we all go to the same place. We then have the choice to stay in the Summerlands for as long as we want or to be reborn again. Buddhists, for example, believe that being reborn is a punishment, that we are reborn again and again until we are enlightened. (There is more to this but this is a wicca webpage. if you want more info mail me.) But i believe that being reborn is a gift from the God and Goddess. I believe that my meaning in life is to learn and experience as much as i can. And i don't believe in an equivalent to the Christian Hell. I believe that in the Summerlands there is a dark side and a light side, but these are not neccessarily bad and good. You choose where you want to go. ~silverwillow~ |
