History of Paganism
What is Paganism?

Paganism is a term that covers all Earth-based religions.  The word Pagan originally ment "Country Dweller" or hick.  The Pagans were the ones who lived far from the cities and therefore were the last to recieve the churches new education.  And they were the ones who held on to their beliefs the longest.

Today we use Paganism to define a large comminity of people with similar beleifs, those mainly being a belief in polythestic or panthestic divinity.

Pagans today all over the world hold to two simple and common beliefs; we all share a sacred connection to everything and divinity is attainable within oneself.
In the Pagan community there is to pressure to be in a tradition or coven or of a certain path.  Pagans value and exalt individualism.  We also beleive that all things are dual, yin & yang, positive & negative, male & female.  So in this way do we resurrect to old Gods and Goddesses of our ancient past.

For some of us divinity is composed of pure spirituality, neuter if you will.  For the rest divinity represents a duality so long missed in our lives.  Both men and women can attain spiritual fulfillment.

In Paganism you will find many different groups and traditions all diverse and strong.  Some will seem strange and others will make lots of sense.  Pagans include but are not limited to...

Witches, Wiccans, Druids, Shamans, Dianaics, Ceremonial Magicians, Traditionalists - Greek, Egyptian, Celtic, Norse and many more.

The exploration of Paganism should be fulfilling and spiritual adventure whith no pressure other than that which you decide for yourself.
