About Us
Silver Stars Baton Corps was organized in 2002 to create a resource  to learn the sport and art of Baton Twirling.  While teaching our students the skill of twirling, we encourage their creativity, improve their coordination, and build teamwork, all in a positive and fun-filled environment.

Instructors are sisters Jodi Holley and Cara Magers.  Both of us twirled while in school (don't ask how long ago!) in parade teams in Ohio and Florida, where we learned the basics of twirling, including marching in many parades and performing for local events.  To improve our teaching skills, we have recently attended clinics and camps in the states of Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.  Jodi is a Licensed WTA Teacher.   Our student instructor is Kelly Holley, formerly the Feature Twirler for the Bellefontaine High School Marching Band, who has been twirling for nearly 15  years.  She has won many awards in twirling, marching, dance and flag.

Our team is a member of
WTA - The World Twirling Association.  WTA is "designed to encourage interest in baton twirling, strutting, marching groups, twirling groups, and all arts related thereto and to set and maintain standards and a code of ethics as well as fellowship and good sportsmanship among those sharing this common interest."

We are also associated with
TU - Twirling Unlimited.  "Twirling Unlimited, incorporated in 1981, is a non-profit organization of twirling teachers and judges.  Twirling Unlimited embraces the concept of UNITY."

Silver Stars accepts students age 5 and up.  See "Classes" for more information.
