Sonic the Hedgehog and the Space Ace Transformers - Episode VI by Space Ace
Part 2


    Inside the munitions factory the process of stealing energy resources and converting into
ENERGON cubes was completed as the evil gang stood around praising themselves over a job well done
while a helpless Tower, Hope, Ivo, Shadow and Rouge watched in both anger and disappointment at not
stopping the terrorist mutants.

NINJARA: There we go, every last micro spark of energy drained from this place.
SHE-LION: Aye, so many cubes filled.
DRAGO: Now we have to get them to the Space Bridge, but is it at the same site or not?
SLEUTH: I don't know, dude. <shrugs>
ABRAHAM: I'm afraid your button pushing was too little, too late.
HOPE: No, I'm certain Ace got my email in time and is on his way right now.
SHADOW: I'll still watching for their approach but what's taking so long? <frowns>

    Drakken contacted his older sibling via his morphing ring communicator to let him know the job
was completed.

DRAKKEN: Come in, commander.
BORF: I'm here, report mission leader.
DRAKKEN: All the factory's energy is now in our possession.
BORF: Excellent, return with the ENERGON cubes to Eggman HQ.  Eggman is plotting the new location
of the Space Bridge.
EGGMAN: Affirmative, then we shall transport the cargo to planet Doom.
FIONA: By your command, my lord. <replies back>
DRAKKEN: But surely you should commend me for my efforts, after all I was...<suddenly he is
distracted> Autobots!
FIONA: No! <reacts in alarm> Not those heroes again, oooooooh! <snarls angrily>

    All of a sudden out of nowhere came the Peterbilt 379 semi barreling full tilt through the open
doors of the facility to crash into the pile of containers, scattering them like tenpins in bowling
as Hope shouted in joy.

HOPE: Yes, it's Space Ace!  I knew he would not let me down.
ROUGE: All right, who-ho! <cheers in triumph>
SHADOW: Finally, <grins to himself> he'll kick their butts good.

    As I charged into the compound, the doors of my cab swung open on both sides as Sally and Sonic
bailed out, tumbling and rolling clear of my spinning wheels.  Shocked to see my presence in their
midst the nWo bullies were at first slow to respond, eyes wide and mouths open.

FIONA: Space Ace?! <can't believe her eyes>
ACE: Ah-ha, we meet again, no? <morph back to human form> Get ready to suffer another humiliation
from yours truly.
FIONA: Why you...<glares me down> NEVER! <eyes narrowed in hate>
ACE: We shall see...loser. <leers back, hands on hips>
BORF: <watching from the EggDome> You outnumber Ace, take him and destroy him.
DRAKKEN: With pleasure! <begins the assault>

    Suddenly the mad scientist hit me with a shot from his laser rifle, the bolts throwing me off
my boots onto the floor where I lay stunned at first, saying "bluuuuuuuuurph!" shaking my head to
clear my mind.

TAI: Looks like it's time for air support.
TIGRESS: I'm with you, brother. <the two rise into the air>
SONIC: Ace, you all right? <calls to me>
ACE: Yeah, but stay clear unless you get shot too.
SALLY: No way, this is our fight, right! <yells back at me> Let me at them, he? <sneers and draws
laser rifle>
ABRAHAM: <yells down at me> Commander, need assistance?!
ACE: Negative, but if you insist...watch my back!
ABRAHAM: Yes sir! <draws his laser pistol>

    Just then Tai Lung and Tigress launched their attack from above, the kung fu mutants taunting
me as they opened up.

TIGRESS: We'd rather take Ace one-on-one but if Borf wants the job done right, it's teamwork.
TAI: So we got him, yes!

    Instinctively I dodged and ducked aside the shots thrown my way as Sally returned fire with her
laser gun hitting the female tiger with a direct shot just as Commander Tower dropped the male snow
leopard with shots from his laser gun also.  Ninjara, Shego, She-Lion, Sleuth, Drago and Belladonna
shot back with their laser guns to try and score hits on me.

SHE-LION: You blew it, butt-heads.  But I won't, he-he-he! <leers and shoots>
SONIC: Uh-uh, naughty...<knocks her down in spinning ball form> It's rude to point a loaded weapon
at my friend.
SHE-LION: Offmph! <hits the floor, briefly stunned>
SONIC: Down and out for the 10-count, he! <thumbs up and grin>
BELLADONNA: Grrrrmph, I'll show you...<throws fireballs at him> take that!
SALLY: Oh, no you don't, witch! <returns fire> Eat this.
BELLADONNA: <goes down> Aaaaaaugh!
SONIC: Thanks for backing me up, boss.
SALLY: You're welcome. <salutes him>

    Meanwhile I dropped Drago and Sleuth just as Rouge and Shadow charged into the fray, taking on
the blood brothers even as I sent their weapons falling out of their hands.  In minutes the female
bat and male hedgehog pinned-subdued the two enemies in no time.  That is when Shego made her move,
the lady in green attire prepared to fire.

SHEGO: Fools, idiots!  You blew it...now it's my turn.
DRAKKEN: Take him out, my dear!
SHEGO: No problemo, boyfriend of mine. <leers>

    With that she launched a missile that appeared like magic to streak in my direction.

ACE: Wrong as usual, Shego. <I duck aside the projectile>
HOPE: <shouts a warning> Ace, watch out!  That's a heat seeking missile!
IVO: It's coming back around, behind you! <also shouts a warning>

    I spun about to intercept the incoming warhead and cast a glowing shield to repel-bounce the
missile away from my body as it shot straight up to explode harmlessly against the ceiling.
Snarling in anger Fiona sprang at me, drop kicking me onto my a** then threw herself upon me,
landing blows into my chest, head and face over and over, face contorted in anger as she struck
out.

FIONA: Now I'll make you sorry you dared put away my leader and family, yes!  Vengeance is mine,
ah-ha!
SALLY: NO! <flies in> Get away from him, butt-head! <body tackles her off me>

    Both went down, snarling and growling angrily as they rolled about, punching, scratching, knee-
striking, hair-pulling, head butting each other in cat fight routine brawl that is.  When Ninjara
ran over to separate them she got attacked by Rouge and they began grappling fiercely with each
other, locked in mortal combat.  Shadow and Sonic double teamed on Shego and Drakken.

SHEGO: I don't know who you are, <to Shadow> but you're finished.
SHADOW: I don't think so, misses. <frowns back> Go ahead, hit me with your best shot.
SHEGO: You bet I will...<sneers and prepared to fire>
DRAKKEN: Farewell, stupid hedgehog.  Eggman is going to like it when I finish you for him.
SONIC: Is that so, he? <leers back>

    All of a sudden Shadow unleashed his powers "Chaos Control!" he shouted out as blinding light
flashed from his body which temporarily blinded both Shego and Drakken simultaneously that made the
two misfire their weapons, the laser bolts impacting into the computer stations nearby that started
to overload dangerously.

IVO: Ace, the computers! <cries out>
ACE: What-the? <look up> NO! <spring to my boots again> Everybody get down, I will shield you all.

    I ran over and commanded my ring to encase the terminals in a glowing force field to contain
the explosion and protect my friends at the same time.  Unfortunately the blast as they went off
knocked me off balance, staggering me like a drunk driver who's had too much to drink and is a
danger to himself and those on the roadways that is.  Seeing this opportunity to take out the
Alliance leader Fiona knocked Sally away from her, sprang back onto her feet again and yelled to
her fellow warriors just getting back up also.

FIONA: Now, hit him with everything you got! <points at me> Let him have it!

    All of a sudden the combined shots from Belladonna, Ninjara, She-Lion, Sleuth, Drago, Tai,
Tigress and recovered Shego and Drakken struck me all at the same time, causing me to scream out
"NOOOOO!" in pain, face in agony with eyes squinted shut before I toppled onto my back on the
floor, unconscious.  At that same moment the sound of vehicles approaching are heard.

SHEGO: Good grief, here comes the cavalry.
DRAKKEN: Power Ranger Autobots!
BORF: <voice heard over his comlink> Drakken, nWo...do not fight them!  Escape with the ENERGON
cubes, now!

    One by one the gang bangers morphed to fighter jet planes and helicopters with their share of
cubes each and zoomed into the sky just as the convoy raced into the facility, screeched to a halt
and morphed back to terran forms again to watch the bad guys get away.

CODY: New World Order?!  But I thought they were locked away, how did they escape?
CHRIS: We'll kick their butts again as always.
SONIC: No time, Chris, Cody! <gets their attention> You got to help save your leader.

    Both teenaged men cry out "ACE!" at the same time and rush over to where Sally is kneeling at
my side, face a look of terror and sadness with tears running down her face as she cradles my head
and neck gently in her arms while fighting to hold back the grief she's feeling right now.

SALLY: Please, please don't die, don't die on me, Ace...stay with me, don't leave me...
KIMBERLY: Good grief, what happened?
ACE: <in shock and pain> Shot down by the opposition, weak...may be paralyzed. <I reach up to grab
my 2nd in command's hand> Can you help me?
KIMBERLY: I will, but not here.  Can you still morph?
ACE: Don't think so, might not be able to summon enough magic to even transform myself...
SALLY: Stay with me, you hear me? <says into my face> Don't let death take you away from me.
JAMES: I'll transport him back. <volunteers>
JESSE: Aye, back to base so we can save his life.
CHRIS: Don't worry, big brother.  We'll take care of you.
CODY: That's affirmative.
SONIC: Then what are we waiting for, huh? <scared look on his face> Let's roll out!

    Immediately James Rocket morphed to his TopKick truck form and with Jesse's help and that of
Kimberly, Cody, Chris, Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable pitching in to assist they carefully placed
me inside the truck form of James with Sally climbing in next to me, continuing to cradle my head
and neck-shoulders in her arms, stroking my hair and speaking with me to keep me conscious and
alert, not let me slip into shock and pass out.  Hope, Rouge, Shadow, Abraham Tower and Ivo
Kintobor climbed into the other vehicle forms of the Rangers and proceeded back to Freedom
Headquarters while Sonic ran on ahead to warn Tails, Amy, Bunnie, Antoine of what transpired
moments ago, that Ace was wounded and returning to HQ for immediate medical attention at once.

HOPE: He's got to make it. <scared>
IVO: I don't know, he got shot bad.
RON: <in Solstice form> Hey, lighten up, Kay?  Ace is going to pull through, he's got to.
KIM: <in Skyline form> Yes, he will not be conquered or defeated that easily in the end.
ABRAHAM: I hope you're right, ma'am.
SHADOW: Affirmative, we're all behind you 100%
ROUGE: Aye!
