Sonic the Hedgehog and the Space Ace Transformers - Episode II by Space Ace
Part 8


    The rocket sled shot down the track and into the dome as the door closed behind the vehicle.
Moments later an ominous rumble from overhead caused Goku, Naruto, Tails and Amy to glance up as
the sky darkened with thunderheads forming.

TAILS: Uh-oh, looks like bad weather a-coming. <scared look>
NARUTO: Yeah, tornado's about to touch down.
TAILS: Tornado?! <shocked expression>

    The clouds began to slowly rotate in clockwise pattern but instead of a funnel cloud reaching
down to touch the ground and start spinning along the ground, scooping up debris in the process,
there appeared a large void opening.

GOKU: What, no twister touching down, huh?
AMY: Look! <she points, gasps in alarm>
GOKU: Holy s***?!! <exclaims out loud>

    A brilliant beam of laser light seemed to reach out from the center of the dome and pierce the
void's center as the rocket sled is seen rising up within the beam itself before disappearing from
view.  Soon afterwards everything calmed down, the clouds parted and sky returned to normal once
again, it was as if nothing had happened but for Tails, Amy, Naruto and Goku they had witnessed a
startling sight before their very eyes.

NARUTO: Wow!
AMY: Did you see that?
NARUTO: I did, I did see that.
AMY: Where did that sled go to?
TAILS: It disappeared, seemed to vanish into that opening in the clouds above.
GOKU: Now that is totally science fiction to behold.

    Down below the nWo awaited the outcome of the test run to find out whether or not the sled made
it to Doom safely with the cargo.  Borf contacted Eggman to find out.

BORF: Report, doctor.
EGGMAN: Uh, um...<stutters> I'm afraid to say this, but...something went wrong.
BORF: What? <eyebrows narrow in suspicion>
SNIVELY: There seems to have been a failure, commander.  The vehicle did not arrive on your home
planet.

    That made Borf gasp, eyes go wide in shock and mouth drop open upon hearing this bad news
spoken to him.  That made Drakken snicker to himself, fighting to hold back laughter rising inside
his body before he gained composure just enough to taunt his older sibling.

DRAKKEN: Your space bridge is worthless, bro.  Never fear, I will find a way to deliver the cargo
safely home.
BORF: You will do no such thing, bro! <snaps back at him>
DRAKKEN: Now, see here! <retorts back>
SHEGO: <steps in between them> Please, do not fight.  Maybe something did go wrong like Eggman
said, we have to figure this out as a team.
DRAGO: He, what did go wrong, boss?
SLEUTH: Yeah, boss? <puzzled frown>

    Borf tried thinking quickly when Dr Robotnik spoke again via the communication device
interrupting his train of thoughts, so to speak.

EGGMAN: Ahem, commander.  I believe the rocket sled needs guidance over the space bridge, a driver
or pilot to be exact.
BORF: Hmm, you could be right, sir. <replies back> The sled indeed needs a pilot to fly it through
the portal to Doom.
EGGMAN: Aren't I always right, he? <answers back cockingly>
FIONA: Certainly, Lord Eggman. <answers him back>
SNIVELY: I heard that, misses. <replies> I'm sure my uncle likes the way you addressed him.
FIONA: Of course, dude.

    Borf silenced the conversation as he rounded up his nWo warriors to explain that he needed a
volunteer to guide the sled over the bridge to Doom but at first no one raised his/her hand or
spoke up, thus Borf decided to select a volunteer instead so to speak.  Realizing they had seen and
heard enough, the heroes decided to make their getaway.

NARUTO: We better get back to headquarters.
AMY: Right!
TAILS: Then the Alliance can stop the Empire from delivering the cargo to their home world.
GOKU: Right on, partner.

    All of a sudden their presence was spotted by Sleuth Dog and blood brother Drago Wolf who both
wheeled about, catching sight of two vehicles attempting to speed off.

DRAGO: Hey, where are they going?
SLEUTH: Stop those cars!
TAILS: Oh, no.  They've seen us!
AMY: Dig out, Naruto, Goku!

    Too late as the Corvette Stingray and Grand Cherokee lost traction and went sliding down into
the side of the riverbed to crash at the bottom, both fox and female hedgehog jumped out to
confront the enemy as Naruto and Goku changed back to human forms and assumed fighter stances,
ready for action.

DRAKKEN: Spies, destroy them! <points at the opposition>
NINJARA: I got them, ha. <leers and draws her sword>
TAI: I got the blond-haired one, he-he. <also leers, kung fu stance>
TIGRESS: While I deal with the black-haired one, no? <sneers, kung fu stance>
FIONA: Me too, ha-ha! <readies herself for battle>

    But even as the foursome advanced on the ninja and kung fu masters who got ready to launch
their first attack back it was halted by Borf himself.

BORF: Stop, do not harm them.
DRAKKEN: What?! <spins around, gasps>
FIONA: Master?! <also turns around, glowers>
AMY: Whew, saved by the bell, he-he! <still holds her Piko Hammer ready>
TAILS: Why did he stop them from attacking us? <scowls>

    Even Tai, Tigress and Ninjara frowned suspiciously at their leader but he grinned back, arms
crossed over chest before speaking again.

BORF: They have just volunteered for the next trip over the space bridge.
SLEUTH: They did?
DRAGO: Whoa...far out.
BELLADONNA: Good idea, <sneers> how nice of them to assist us, no?
TAI & TIGRESS: Yeah, ha-ha-ha. <both chuckle evilly>
NINJARA: Thank you, lucky volunteers. <mockingly bows to them>
SHEGO: Yes, thank you. <claps for them>
FIONA: Cool...<sneers too> hopefully they can guide the sled through the portal, he?

    Goku, Naruto, Tails and Amy gasped in terror, eyes wide in fright but before they could say
anything, found themselves at gunpoint forced into the rocket sled, strapped into their seats and
the canopy lid closed over their bodies.

BORF: You should be proud to assist my family in delivering this special cargo to my home planet.
DRAKKEN: Aye, you will go down in history as the first explorers to travel at the speed of light
from one planet to another in seconds.
BORF: That is, whether or not you successfully make it over the space bridge. <then contacts the
doctor> Calling Eggman, come in.
NARUTO: Now how do we get out of this mess?
GOKU: I haven't a clue, brother. <looks helpless>
BORF: Begin test run number two...<speaks into comlink>
AMY: Oh, dear. <looks sad> I fear we've run out of time.
TAILS: So has Borf, look! <he points out the canopy>
AMY-NARUTO-GOKU: What?!! <all say together>
