Sonic the Hedgehog Meets the Space Ace Transformers by Space Ace Part 13 Once again Ace and Sally stood before the council members reporting on the success of saving New Mobotropolis from being destroyed, preventing the dam from collapsing but that the New World Order got away in the end. As soon as both finished their briefing... ELIAS: I see, so the nWo escaped with the stolen goods in the end as you say, hm-hm-hmm-hmmm... Excuse me, ahem! ACE: Go ahead, make fun of me all you want, I won't stop you. ELIAS: I would never do such a thing, sir. ROSEMARY: Thank you for saving our city, Space Ace. That was very brave of you to protect all our citizens from perishing. ACE: Of course, your highness, that's what we're trained to do. ROSEMARY: Yes, very honorably on your part. ROTOR: So what's the next step? SALLY: We have no idea at the moment. However we could send out spies to infiltrate the Empire's gang to learn of their next move. CHUCK: Whoa, sounds a little risky. HAMLIN: I agree, too risky to attempt. The substitute Freedom Fighter glowered at me as if I was to blame for the enemy slipping through my fingers; though I ignored his stare, Sally met his stare with her own glowering look back as if daring him to accuse the super agent of trumped up charges he might spout forth any minute. DYLAN: Maybe we can decide on sending a spy or two to learn of the nWo's next move against us, though we'll have to vote on who it should be. PENELOPE: Agreed, who should that spy be? HAMLIN: Objection! I refuse such an idea to be carried out. Besides, how do we know that you will not prevent another escape of the enemy if you failed to catch them already, huh? ACE: Now see here... SALLY: Enough! I'm not about to have you start listing off charges against Ace since he's doing his best in defending our city at the moment. ELIAS: Sally? Please refrain from shouting in the council chamber. SALLY: Yes, sorry, brother. HAMLIN: Well, I've never been insulted... ACE: Oh, far out. That's the first time I've heard Sally get angry. CHUCK: Hope it's not the last time, he? SALLY: Council members, let us vote now on who should spy on the New World Order and learn of their next move against us. ROSEMARY: Agreed, Sally. ELIAS: Yes, let us vote now. All in favor? One by one they raised their hands and said "Aye" except Hamlin, of course, who said "Nay" as usual with thumbs down gesture, still glaring at me and Sally, the former princess giving him the look right back with crossed arms. I shook my head, mumbled to myself "Oh, wow...fireworks are about to explode here" before King Elias spoke again. ELIAS: Space Ace, the council agrees to send an undercover agent to infiltrate the New World Order and find out what Commander Borf is plotting next, do you agree to this idea? ACE: Yes I do, your majesty. I suppose I'll go ask my fellow Rangers to volunteer for this mission right now. ROSEMARY: Good luck, sir. PENELOPE: We are still with you all the way. DYLAN: As always. CHUCK: Here-here! ROTOR: Aye! HAMLIN: Bah, hope something bad happens and he fails again so I can put the blame squarely on his shoulders, he-he-he... SALLY: Ooooooooh, I saw that, I heard you plotting that...I won't let you get away with disgracing my true love to him. HAMLIN: Really? The two of you are making out, duh? Hope Sonic doesn't learn of this, or else... SALLY: Why you?! ACE: Chill out, time out...lady. He's just a bully, he's trying to get you to do something irrational or harsh and get in trouble with your brother the king. SALLY: You're right, my love. Come, let's be on our way. Together we strolled out of the council chamber until arriving back at Freedom Headquarters to outline the game plan to the Freedom Fighters and Power Rangers of sending a spy into the hornet's nest, so to speak. While that was taking place, within the fortress of Eggman at that same time... construction work was underway in repairing the starship, the Hunter-Killer that crashed onto the planet so it could take the nWo back home again to planet Doom. Eggman and Borf were going over the latest details. EGGMAN: Everything is going according to plan. Soon your vessel will be space worthy in transporting you and your gang home again. BORF: Yes, and the collection of ENERGON cubes continues around the clock, non-stop. EGGMAN: So far, as Snively and I've foreseen it appears you've acquired half the amount of resources for now. SNIVELY: I believe you may be plotting another hit soon? BORF: I believe so, sir. However I have no idea where to look for another target. SNIVELY: Hmm, yes... perhaps I can consult the computers to find another area of choice. EGGMAN: Do that, nephew. Meanwhile the commander and I have work to do. The assistant nodded and proceeded on his way, leaving the scientist and alien pirate alone together. No sooner had he left than a strange noise, a humming-whirring sound caught both the attention of Borf and Eggman who looked for its source. EGGMAN: He, what is making that noise? BORF: What's that sound? Both began tracking down its source and came upon a shocking sight! It turned out to be the mad doctor himself, Drakken, who was test firing a laser Gatling gun at some stand up target displays except the weapon was connected to some containers and their contents were almost drained away. BORF: Brother! What in the universe are you doing? DRAKKEN: What-the?! Oh, bro... I hate it when you do that, shock me. BORF: Hmmph... EGGMAN: What have you done?! DRAKKEN: What does it look like, he? Testing the ENERGON cubes to see how powerful they work. EGGMAN: Oh, you were...huh? So I see... BORF: Did you think they would not work? DRAKKEN: You never tested them, I proved it. BORF: That's not all you've done, idiot. Now we need more strikes before we'll have enough resources to return to Doom. EGGMAN: Great, oh, well...back to the black board I guess. DRAKKEN: What's the difference? BORF: The difference is time, YOU SET US BACK! Enraged he kicked out, knocking down the laser gun and tripod mount, almost nearly stubbing his toes in the process but so angry he did not feel any pain at all. Just then Snively came hurrying on-site with sheets of paper in his hands. SNIVELY: Doctor, Commander...here are some locations I've managed to come up with in looking for resources of ENERGON. EGGMAN: Very good, Snively. interesting, he-he...what do you think, Borf? BORF: Yes, very interesting. We shall make our hit on these former slave mines not far from Robotropolis and steal these magic gemstones within its tunnel shafts to be used for ENERGON. SNIVELY: Yes, very good, sir. Also I came up with ideas of where to look for rocket fuel since you'll need that as well to power the thrusters of your ship. BORF: Thank you, my friend. I can always count on you to serve my cause. SNIVELY: I accept that compliment, commander. EGGMAN: Ha-ha, yes! So we pay a visit to the slave mines where my great predecessor, Julian Robotnik once had the Mobian children slaving for him while he was in control of this city long ago. Then look for the rocket fuel our nWo allies need to get them home again. But while that was taking place...not far away was a spy or spies, two of them actually who were watching and listening in on the entire conversation taking place. They were Ron and Kim who had been sent by Ace to get everything about the next strike of the New World Order and now prepared to move out. RON: Ace, come in. Are you receiving this? ACE: Affirmative, loud and clear. KIM: 10-4, boss. They are going to hit the slave mines and probably steal what's in their shafts. SALLY: Nuts! The same mines where the Mobian children slaves toiled away under Robotnik's rule long ago. KIM: Sorry, Acorn. I did not know about that. RON: Me neither, Acorn. SALLY: It's all right, no need to apologize. Just get back here before the enemy knows you're there. ACE: Roger, meet us at Freedom HQ so we can move out at a moment's notice. Both Possible and Stoppable replied "10-4" and disconnected the transmission together before morphing into their vehicle guises of the Nissan Skyline GTR and Pontiac Solstice sports cars and sped away from the scene. Meanwhile Drakken was getting mad at being scolded by his older sibling and let him have it. DRAKKEN: Don't push me, Borf. My desire for power is as great as yours. BORF: Power flows to the one who knows how to use it wisely. Desire alone is not enough. DRAKKEN: I can wait... BORF: Assemble my strike forces. Minutes later the doctor informed the alien pirate his gang was ready along with himself, Snively and SwatBots to accompany the Empire to the mines and the nWo rose into the sky, morphing to their fighter jet planes and helicopter guises and flew away.
