GOKU: What exactly is this Master Emerald? Never heard of it. TIKAL: Come, I will take you to it. KNUCKLES: And meanwhile, sis and I will find a way of stopping the Empire from harming the crystals. JULIE-SU: Aye! Splitting up the foursome went their separate ways. Meanwhile Blaze and MewTwo were about to ascend the stone steps leading to the rooftop of the temple. MEWTWO: I must destroy that super weapon... POUND: Oh yeah? Guess again, dude. Try to get by me. NAWT: Yeah, suckers, losers...traitors to the nWo family. BLAZE: I had every right to turn against your evil kind, harming innocent life on this world. Then the forms of Blanko, Bang and Bupkus came up behind the two ETs until the MonStars had them surrounded. BANG: Without that weapon we could fry you extra crispy, he-he... Borf would love that. BLANKO: But that sneaky brother of his would take all the credit in the end. BUPKUS: On the other hand, now that I think of it...if we let you wreck the Super Infanto Ray, Borf would blame Drakken, ha-ha. POUND: Which would make us very happy, he? NAWT: Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh... Then they proceeded to escort Blaze and MewTwo up the stairs to the temple's roof still acting cocky and arrogant all the way when suddenly the mad professor was confronting them, leveling his laser rifle in their faces, his own face a mask of rage. DRAKKEN: You stupid, idiotic no-good traitors! He opened fire, intending on striking down the Mean Team but they ducked clear as one group, the bolts slamming into MewTwo and Blaze who gasped in shock and pain before falling backwards down the steps to crash at the bottom, unconscious and still. Leering down at his former apprentices, Drakken commented. DRAKKEN: So much for my former servants, he! And as for you five fools, from now on you'll do exactly what this sneaky professor tells you, or... or I report your treachery to big brother and have him deal with you personally! Well that got the attention of Pound and gang who snapped to attention like cadets at Boot Camp, saluting their boss. While inside the temple's interior Tikal was escorting Goku down several tunnel passageways that led to the heart of the structure itself. TIKAL: This passageway will take us directly to the main chamber of the Chaos Emerald crystals. GOKU: Have you come this way? TIKAL: Yes, many times before. Again I thank you for rescuing me from danger, Goku San. GOKU: Ah, geez! TIKAL: Hm-hm-hm-hm-hmm-hmmm... Then she leaned in close to kiss him on the lips, he pulled her to his body as he put his arms around her waist, bent down to return the kiss as she held her arms lovingly around his shoulders and neck. For a moment they remained in that position, enjoying the feeling together before parting to smile into their faces. GOKU: I suppose you never did that before, especially with a space explorer like me from beyond the stars. TIKAL: No, I have not. What world do you come from, may I ask? GOKU: Earth, the planet Earth in another solar system light years away. TIKAL: I see, and you are an earth-man? GOKU: Yes, or a terran, which means humanoid being. Tikal nodded, still smiling as he leaned in towards her again. Trembling in excitement she leaned towards him to receive another kiss and their lips met yet again, this time they held it longer than before with arms around each other again, swaying to and fro in their embrace like dancing or waltzing. Then parting once again the princess came back to her senses, remembering what she was supposed to do and continued leading the Kung Fu master down the tunnel. Unfortunately what they failed to notice was another figure silently stalked them in the shadows, NINJARA! She had followed them to the temple and was determined to defeat Goku San for good. NINJARA: This time, I will make him suffer, yes! He will die on my blade...he-he! Meanwhile...Shego had arrived on-site and began providing air attacks in pounding the Alliance forces who scattered for cover. Borf took that opportunity to take to the sky and ordered a hasty withdraw of his family now that they had what they came for anyway. BORF: New World Order, onward to victory! Asta-la-vista, baby... I could only watch in anger and helplessness as my rival fled the scene as always, the rest of his family following in his wake until they were gone. Not wanting to hang around in this metropolis any longer than necessary we morphed and sped away before the authorities could arrest or detain us for questioning-interrogation procedures that is. Upon returning to the temple and discovering Blaze and MewTwo's unconscious bodies at the base of the building, the alien pirate had the MonStars carry the ETs into the temple and dropped unceremoniously-like in the middle of a huge chamber where an alter stood in the center. BORF: Perhaps the witch can use her mind spells on these idiots and make them serve our cause again, only this time they will be sorry if they dare betray me again. BELLADONNA: I will see to it personally, Lord Borf. BORF: But for now we must build a new barrel frame to attach onto the Super Infanto Ray cannon on the roof. SHEGO: As you wish, my lord. One by one the evil mutants left the chamber, only Blaze and MewTwo were left alone and helpless until Tikal and Goku stepped into sight and froze! TIKAL: Goodness, who are they?! GOKU: Oh, no! It's Blaze and MewTwo. The former New World Order servants of Dr Drakken. Then Knuckles and Julie-Su happened to enter from another doorway at the far side and also saw the two ETs. JULIE-SU: Uh-oh, it's Drakken's former servants. KNUCKLES: Good grief, they're hurt! TIKAL: We must use the magic of the Chaos Emeralds to save their lives. KNUCKLES: How? Commander Borf has them in his possession, there's no way we can get them now. TIKAL: Things are not always what they appear to be, guardian. JULIE-SU: He? Goku in the meanwhile was gazing in wonder at the carved pictograph symbols etched into the stone walls of the chamber on all sides of him, marveling at the craftsmanship in every detail. GOKU: Whoa, must be some kind of story from the look of these carvings. Can't seem to translate them, though. All of a sudden from out of nowhere another presence stepped into view, sword drawn and poised for battle as Ninjara advanced on the Echidna guardians sneering evilly. NINJARA: Ah-ha, now I got you this time. GOKU: Not you again, misses? NINJARA: Oh, yes...ME! This time you'll never escape my vengeance, oh-ho-ho...I dare you to fight me, YES! GOKU: In that case, I take the dare, HA! NINJARA: Fine! Let's get it on! Suddenly they leapt at each other, yelling martial art shouts and swung swords together, clashing in midair before dropping back to the stone floor and commenced dueling fiercely, trading strike and parry, back and forth, occasionally ducking or dodging aside, leaping over each other's heads, flipping about. Tikal watched in stunned horror, eyes wide in fright. TIKAL: Goku, be careful! JULIE-SU: Whoa, I've never seen fighting like this before?! KNUCKLES: Me neither, sis! As they continued to watch the two warriors dueled on, each deflecting death blows from the other's swords constantly, neither gaining advantage for the moment, evenly matched. Now they crossed, locked swords and strained-pushed and glared into each other's faces close up. NINJARA: Ugh, urgh, mmmmmmmph! Prepare to die, ugh...taste my, urrrrrrgh...blade! GOKU: Never, urrrrrrgh! You'll be the, ugh...one who eats cold, mmmmmmph...steel! Snarling, the lady fox shoved back hard, forcing the terran master backwards before closing in again to strike out with a powerful kick into his chest, the air whooshed out of Goku's lungs, his eyes went wide. Ninjara leaped over his head, dropped behind to parry another thrust from Goku's sword, then another strike as he whirled to attack her. NINJARA: Ha, missed me. You're not good enough to defeat me. GOKU: That's what you think, ninja master. Take that! NINJARA: Offmph! He sailed into the air to impact another kick that drove Ninjara onto her backside, as she went down he chopped down to finish her off but she blunted the thrust, then strained to hold back his sword against her own, again they glared and snarled into each other's faces close up. Ninjara backrolled, flipping Goku over her head, he landed on his shoes only to be clipped, his feet swept out from beneath him as the lady fox executed a perfect leg sweep maneuver to take him down. Then she whacked his sword out of his hands before leaning in close, pinning the sharp edge of one side of her sword against his throat. NINJARA: And now, at last. You are defeated, humiliated by my hands, ha! Any last words before you die, he? GOKU: I have nothing to say to you, go ahead and finish me off. NINJARA: TO THE DEATH! KNUCKLES & JULIE-SU: NO! TIKAL: Eeeeeeeee! Suddenly a blast of telekinesis power slammed into the lady fox who gasped, cried out in shock her eyes going wide and then whole body rigid or numb as she was unable to move or resist from the power source that hit her. An angry voice spoke out. MEWTWO: Oh, no you don't...you will not harm that earth-man. BLAZE: Yes, I won't let you kill him. KNUCKLES: MewTwo, Blaze! JULIE-SU: You're alive! GOKU: Huh, what-the?! Both ETs levitated Ninjara into the air, she continued crying out in pain as she fought to resist, break free of the telekinesis grip on her body before being thrown into the wall where she collapsed to the floor unconscious, groaning helplessly, eyes squinted shut before her form shimmered and faded away from her morphing ring until she was gone. BLAZE: There, she won't do any more harm to anybody again. MEWTWO: That's affirmative, ma'am... GOKU: Hey, come on. We have to help our friends take down the Mafia from using the Super Infanto Ray cannon. KNUCKLES: Yes, rescue the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald. Come on! JULIE-SU: Right with you, brother! MEWTWO: We're out of here... BLAZE: Aye-aye! GOKU: Tikal? TIKAL: I'm coming, my special friend. Oh, I'm so happy she did not kill you, yes. Afterwards they run together, holding hands and laughing like school kids on the playground having fun to join their friends in battle outside the temple.
