I was confused at what she was saying, not to mention Uncle Channing as well who never heard of that floating island until Sonic explained everything to the professor. SONIC: Angel Island is home to the Master Emerald crystal and the Chaos Emerald crystals, Knuckles is the guardian who protects the gems. NIGEL: I see, and what do these crystals do? SONIC: When brought together they create a powerful source of energy, only to be scattered until rediscovered again. NIGEL: Oh, they do? ACE: That's similar to Goku's Dragon Ball spheres. SONIC: Something like that, sire. NIGEL: Don't know when I'll ever get used to that, my nephew a king. ACE: Well, my dad and mom are proud of me since they were present at the wedding of me and Sally. Just then Nicole broke into the conversation with an urgent warning. NICOLE: Sir Ace, Madame Sally? I detect a strong power source atop the temple's roof... AAAAAAAAAH! ACE: What the heck?! SALLY: Nicole?!! Suddenly a brilliant flash of white light illuminated the BIG SCREEN before turning into snowy static. Both king and queen panicked, eyes wide in terror at fearing that Nicole had been struck by a powerful laser beam of sorts. Sally tried contacting her bodyguard. SALLY: Nicole, Nicole! Can you hear me, come in! NIGEL: Good heavens, what just happened? SALLY: Nicole, please respond! ACE: Uh-oh, definitely not good. Just then Nicole's voice came back online, a huge sigh of relief rose from everyone in HQ. NICOLE: Oh, whew...that was too close for comfort. SALLY: What, what happened? NICOLE: I was fired upon by a powerful laser beam from the top of the temple but fortunately it missed me...I mean, it missed hitting me squarely but only a glancing blow...knocked me out for a few seconds but I'm okay... ACE: Can you describe this laser beam? SONIC: Oops, not good. Nicole said the laser beam looked similar to bluish-white lightning that shot out of nowhere. At the mention of blue-white lightning a chill went down my spine making my eyes go wide in shock. ACE: Oh, oh no... NIGEL: Nephew, are you all right? SALLY: Honey? ACE: It, it cannot be... NIGEL & SALLY: Ace!!! That snapped me out of my trance, I looked at them before recovering and blurting forth the one thing I dreaded saying. ACE: THE INFANTO RAY LASER! NIGEL: Are you sure? SALLY: Nicole, Ace said you got fired at by the INFANTO RAY laser. NICOLE: Good grief, so that's what that laser beam was...oh, no... thank goodness it didn't hit me directly. SONIC: Whew, saved by the bell. NIGEL: I could not agree more with you, Sonic. And at that same time the Echidna guardian Knuckles, his sister Julie-Su and Tikal a shaman princess happened to glance up upon hearing a loud explosion that seemed to originate from atop the temple's roof. And at the same time atop the temple's roof the alien commander was gloating over the success of the SUPER INFANTO RAY cannon he just fired off at what he perceived as an intruder spying on him and his Mafia family. BORF: Ha-ha, perfect. My Super Infanto Ray works swell, powered by the Master Emerald and Chaos Emeralds its magic is all mine. DRAKKEN: You mean ours, don't you, big brother? BORF: Yes, of course. He points to the warped-twisted steel frame of the barrel which partially melted under the intense heat and drooped over like an elephant's trunk. BORF: I have you to blame for this worthless steel, look at it...it's nothing but junk now. Drakken suddenly covers up and puts the blame on the MonStars instead. DRAKKEN: It was not my fault, Commander. The Mean Team stole the beams under my supervision, not I. It's their fault. BLANKO: Huh, what? NAWT: What did we do wrong? Meanwhile back in the frozen wastelands of snow and ice...Shadow Hedgehog and Rouge were busy searching for two familiar ET aliens, digging through the white surfaces to find MewTwo and Blaze. All of a sudden a section of ice shelf shattered, broke apart and two stealth fighter jets rose into view, the SR-71 Blackbird and F-117 Nighthawk. ROUGE: Bingo! SHADOW: It's MewTwo and Blaze! The female bat treasure hunter used her morphing ring to melt away the ice covering the stealth fighters before calling out. ROUGE: Blaze, MewTwo. Are you warm enough to morph? BLAZE: I hope so... MEWTWO: Yes, stand back... Immediately both aliens converged to their true selves again, standing on their feet and smiling friendly-like at their allies. MEWTWO: Thank you for bringing me back, Shadow, Rouge...I just about had it with the deep freeze treatment. SHADOW: No problem, dude. BLAZE: How can I repay you for this miracle? ROUGE: You need to pick up Power Rangers Omar and Angel, the children of King Ace and Queen Sally so they can take part in another assignment.
