Sonic the Hedgehog Meets the Space Ace Transformers by Space Ace
Part 2


    Now the Power Rangers are strapped into their spaceship the deep space exploration shuttle the
X2 (the make believe vessel in the EPCOT attraction Mission Space) with myself, Kimberly, Cody and
Chris up front operating the controls on the flight-deck with Team Rocket, Kim and Ron below on the
mid-deck level as we prepare for blastoff into deep space.

KIMBERLY: All systems on green light and standing by.
CHRIS: Ready to proceed with countdown for main engine startup sequence.
ACE: Affirmative, proceed then with countdown.
CHRIS: Roger, leader.

    The onboard computer began counting down to main engine startup as we braced for actual flight
before the thrusters came online that caused our spacecraft to shake slightly, then the booster
rocket engaged to propel the X2 into the air on a pillar of flame and smoke trails as it began its
climb to reach outer space above the gravity field of the planet itself, G-Forces shoving us
against our seats and restraints as we climbed higher and faster.

ACE: Activate anti-gravity now!
CODY: Anti-gravity activated! <works his console>

    Now the feeling-sensation of being slammed against our seats eased off little by little until
it dissipated all-together so to speak as the anti-gravity generators compensated for the duration
of liftoff into space.

ACE: Kim, go to throttle up.
KIMBERLY: Roger, going throttle up. <works her console>
CHRIS: <confirms> Increasing engine speed and thrust, anti-gravity still holding steady. <checks
readouts>

   Now the thrusters powered up even higher to continue pushing the shuttle onwards and upwards
through the atmosphere until nearing the edge of the planet's gravity field where the curvature of
the Earth could be seen beneath the blackness of space beyond.  Finally I gave the order to
disengage, detach the booster from the ship now that its fuel supply was drained out.

ACE: Disengage booster rocket now.
CHRIS: <works console> Booster detaching now, leader.

   There came a shudder as the first stage of the launch vehicle separated cleanly and tumbled back
down into the atmosphere where it burned up into harmless fragments.  Next the computers
automatically shut down the thrusters to conserve fuel reserves as we went into planetary orbit for
several revolutions to marvel at the sight out our windows at our world below us resembling a giant
marble in space.

JAMES: Wow, check out the views.
JESSE: Indeed, that's our world down there in its glory.
RON: Imagine, centuries ago in time the Earth was created by Almighty God in 7 days and 7 nights.
KIM: And there it is, awaiting our safe return from our mission when we come back home again.

   Unfortunately what we failed to realize at that same instant was that another spaceship was
rocketing upwards to break the gravity field as well, in the form of the New World Order Hunter-
Killer (robot aircraft in the TERMINATOR films) with Borf and his gang onboard to secretly follow
us en route to our unknown destination.

BORF: Wherever Space Ace goes, I will follow him.
BELLADONNA: Yes, mighty leader.  And then conquer that planet they land on, he-he.
NINJARA: Force its inhabitants to serve our cause or suffer the consequences if they refuse.
TAI: Victory for the nWo Empire, let the darkness grow.
TIGRESS: Yes, victory!
SHE-LION: But first we have to locate the Rangers.
SHEGO: Yes, then shadow them all the way, so to speak.
DRAKKEN: That is if we can find them...<to himself>

    But the space pirate knew that he would track me down wherever I ventured into the great
unknown, so to speak.  Back onboard the X2 we got set for the second phase of our mission.

ACE: Standby to re-engage thrusters to push away from Earth's gravity field.
CHRIS: Standing by, sir.

    I then gave the order and little brother complied by activating his control panel and the
engines came back online to move us clear of the planet's gravity and out into the blackness of
space beyond, passing by the International Space Station in orbit around the Earth then leaving it
behind since we were going to slingshot around the moon, using that planet's lunar gravity to
launch ourselves into deep space.

KIMBERLY: We are on course for our slingshot around the moon. <confirms readouts>
CODY: Moving into position, steady...wait for it, NOW! <works his console>

    The thrusters were opened fully to their maximum status and the X2 rocketed around and around
the moon, going so fast the lunar surface blurred past before we broke away and hurtled outward
into the void beyond!  Right behind us came the Hunter Killer vessel in hot pursuit as well.

SHEGO: We are going into lunar slingshot manuver, sir!
NINJARA: Standing by to break away on your mark!
BORF: Do it, now! <gives command> Break away from the moon.
BELLADONNA: <works her console> Engage!

    Now the HK also shot clear of the moon and launched itself into deep space, still pursuing the
X2 which had a head start that is...

ACE: Okay, Cody...activate hyper sleep, we're going to slumber the rest of the journey till we
reach our destination.
CODY: You're the boss, boss. <salutes and works his console>

    The computers confirmed the hyper sleep pods were online and ready as myself, Kimmy, Cody and
Chris climbed from our seats and floating all the way to the rear of the vessel in zero gravity
conditions teamed up with Team Rocket, Kim and Ron awaiting us next to the pods arranged like bunk-
beds on both sides of the bulkhead walls.

KIMBERLY: We shall sleep for the duration of our journey until we reach our destination.
CHRIS: That's okay with me.
JESSE: But who's sleeping where? <puzzled at first>
JAMES: Don't look at me, I haven't a clue. <also puzzled>
ACE: Not a problem, the pods have our names on them, see? <I point them out>
TEAM ROCKET: OH?! <both look surprised> HA-HA-HA, <laugh it off>
CODY: Lights out everyone. <climbs into his pod>

    One by one we entered our hyper-sleep pods, the lids closed over our bodies as sleeping gas is
pumped into our brains via gas masks covering our nose and mouth and then we collapse into
unconsciousness states of suspended animation.  Meanwhile the automatic robot pilot continued
flying our ship upon making the transition jump to hyper-space similar to the USS Enterprise and
the Millennium Falcon.
