Background: After being kicked out of his home by his father, Snively decided to work for his Uncle Julian (Robotnik). Snively helped Julian plan the takeover of the Kingdom of Acorn. When the kingdom was conquered, Snively found himself being treated as a lowly assistant. Time passed, and when the Ultimate Nullifier was created, Snively rigged the device so that it would harm only Robotnik. Although his planned worked, the freedom fighters captured Snively and sent him to a prison called the Devil's Gulag.
Snively was eventually released by Robo-Robotnik, who wanted Snively to help with his schemes. However, Snively escaped and joined the freedom fighters. This was only temporary and Snively joined forces with Robo-Robotnik for a chance to seek revenge against his father.
