Continued . . .

The following year we moved to where I could have rabbits again, and in 2003, my parents allowed me to buy a trio - a red doe (Cinnamon), a broken black buck (Blackberry), and a harlequin doe (Heather).

Morning Star Rabbitry had been started.

As my knowlege grew, I gradually acquired new stock and replaced some of my original rabbits with better quality mini rex stock.

2004 was the first year I went back to showing, this time in all open classes and as a new rabbitry.  I learned a LOT and worked some more on improving my herd.

Morning Star Rabbitry became Silver Star Rabbitry and was registered with ARBA in 2004.  Since then, I have worked even harder to improve my rabbitry to what it is today.  Though still a small rabbitry, I have worked hard, and my work is finally paying off!!  Though my mini rex herd has now dwindled slightly to only about 4 buns, my goal is to eventually build it back up with purely Silver Star buns.

In 2005 I decided to start up in holland lops as well!!  Thanks to Kim & Christina Posey of Sunny Brook Rabbitry, I have acquired some awesome stock to start off on the right foot.  Thanks also to Marlene Bruneau for Winnie!!  Definitely watch for us this year at the shows, as some of the younger guys will definitelyl be shown!!

Thanks to all those who have helped me with my rabbitry in its beginnings, and I hope to see you at the shows!  Thanks also to God for watching over us, as I have seen so many seemingly impossible miracles come to life!
