Lesson 1: Clabberts

I walk down from the castle toward Hagrids hut.  I see that my first class is there, waiting anxiously.  I can see a few of them are nervously reading through their copies of Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them.   A couple of other students are staring at the covered cage that I have left next to the hut.  A couple of Slytherins are trying to pull of the cloth that is covering the cage.
Good, afternoon class.  They all quickly look up at me as I stride towards the cage.  The Slytherins who were messing with the cage jumped back, and were relieved that they did not get caught.  There was no use trying to pull it off, I said with my back turned, taking out my wand.  There was a non-rippable charm on it.  Rippitus-De I say with my wand pointing towards the cage.  The cloth jumps off the cage, and all of the students gasp.  This, I say pointing to the cage, is a Clabbert.
Inside the cage is a green, hairless creature that looks like a cross between a monkey and a frog.  The Clabbert is grasping the bars of the cage with its webbed hands.  Does anyone know where this creature comes from?  Anyone, anyone?  It originates from the southern states of America, but it has been exported around the world.  For your class work for today I want you to tell me what the Clabbert eats, and explain to me how you fed it.  Now, no one may take it out of the cage, unless you feel like getting a detention and being fined.  For homework, I want you to tell me the most distinctive feature about a Clabbert.  I want good detailed descriptions.  If your class/homework gets handed to me, and it is less than two good paragraphs you will receive nothing higher than a P.  Also, I will not tolerate any student who copies directly from the book
