Long ago, there was only one kind of elf... the Forest Elves, and their High Ones. They lived in peace and harmony. But one fate-filled day, monsters discovered the world of Raven's Rest, and destroyed nearly all of the Forest elves. The remaining elves all found different ways to flee from these beasts. Some fled to the oceans. Adapting to ocean life, they became known as Wavedancers. Others fled to the desert, and are known today as the Sunfolk. Other elves fled to the mountians and learned powerful magics enabling them to fly, which gave them their name, the Gliders. A few elves fled to the snowy lands and called themselves the Go-backs. And some chose to remain in the forest. But ah... it was too dangerous for an elf. And so it was, that a few shapechangers morphed into wolves, and mated with the remaining elves that could not shape change. These became the Wolfriders.
And so it was... in this land of Raven's Rest, that the many different clans existed, several hundred years later, not knowing of the other bands of elves, thinking they were the only to exsist. As for the High Ones... no one knew where they vanished to. Most thought they fled to the Mountians in a grand palace. The Gliders thought they went to the forest. And though the High Ones defeated these monsters after all their children fled, new dangers exist in this world. Dangers such as humans, beasts, poisonous plants, and so on.

Current Time :
Year 3. Approximately 60 years since Chief Longknife took the chief locks.
Current Season:
Season of the Long-sun : This is when the sun stays out the longest. Days are long and warm. Those elves that sleep usually during the night, sleep only over the hottest part of the day and wake in the cooler evening, though the sun still shines then. Food is plentiful and life is easy.

Current Events:
The holt remains as it always was. Peaceful under Longknife's rule. It's rebuilding after the terrible war with humans 125 years ago, and luckily no humans, or other monsters, have stumbled upon the holt... yet.
Longknife's Lifemate, Sweetbreeze was recently killed by a wild boar while out fishing.

Member Changes
I'm sad to say, that there are no member additions. However, luckily no one is leaving, or putting their characters up for adoption. So that's always good!

Other Announcements
More pages are finished. The only pages that are not complete are the Wolfrider History, Sunfolk History, Wavedancer History, Go-Back History, and Glider History. I would like a leader-ish like person for each of the elven races to create the history of their race. So I'll get to work on the Wolfrider History and hopefully the others will be completed soon when we get more member! ;) |
