| Concept This game probably has one of my favorite non-Zelda storylines in a game ever. There are several twists and turns and lots of interesting characters. The gameplay, however, is standard RPG stuff with little innovation, as is the battle system. Score: 4/5 Graphics It has nice graphics for the most part, but there are some graphical glitches (when you walk down a hallway, for example, you'll notice the texture becoming "clearer" as you walk, as if it's scanning something. I guess you have to see it). It's also not as smooth as it could be. Score: 4/5 Sound Nothing exciting in the way of sound. Everything seems pretty cliched (desert area has Arabian-sounding stuff, jungle area has jungley stuff). Score: 3/5 Playability The controls are fine. Battle is more of a select your enemy, and press A sort of thing and is pretty boring (though pretty standard in RPGs). Score: 4/5 Entertainment It really is a fun game. It hasn't gotten much attention, but I'd really recommend picking it up if you see it, or at least renting. It's definitely worth it. Score: 5/5 Replay Value Moderately High. There's really no reason to go back and play again. Luckily, it's a pretty long game the first time through, so it will keep you occupied (hopefully at least 50 hours). Score: 4/5 OVERALL: 8/10 |
