| ADVANCE |
| Concept Racing Gears Advance is a top-down racer that has you racing against other cars around various tracks, using items to slow them down. The top-down racer is a rather rare genre right now, and it is a nice breath of fresh air for the racing games. Score: 5/5 Graphics The graphics are bright and colorful, and look really great on the GBA. The weather effects are nice, too. Score: 5/5 Sound Not much in the way of sound here, what's there isn't fantastic. Score: 3/5 Playability The controls are a little awkward at first, but you get used to them. The game is also very difficult; I'm still not able to win a race, or even get out of last place. Score: 3/5 Entertainment The game is pretty fun, but you'll probably rather play a better racer like Mario Kart or Need for Speed. Score: 4/5 Replay Value Moderately Low. You will probably get sick of not being able to win any races at all, and might not even pick it up later. Score: 2/5 OVERALL: 7.3/10 |
