| REVIEW |
| Concept Pokemon Colosseum is the first 3-D Pokemon adventure. Though it has a unique feel to it, it also leaves out a lot of what makes a Pokemon game a Pokemon game, such as wild Pokemon and gyms. The game also includes a Battle Mode (like Pokemon Stadium 1 + 2), but it's very limited, and you have to use either your Pokemon from the Story Mode or a GBA Pokemon game. Score: 3/5 Graphics It looks nice, but some of the Pokemon are not that detailed, and the special effects from Pokemon attacks just don't seem as fancy as they should. Score: 3/5 Sound The Pokemon still have those stupid little calls, right off the GBA games. The background music is pretty nice, especially some of the catchy tunes from the towns. Score: 4/5 Playability Simple enough. Battles are the main part of the game, and it's mostly just selecting from a menu. In the Story Mode, you only have to know how to use the control stick and the A button to get around. Score: 5/5 Entertainment I was really disappointed in this game. You can't play Battle Mode unless you have a GBA game or you want to use your Story Mode team, or use a pre-selected weak team. Story Mode is also just too different to be good. Score: 3/5 Replay Value Moderate. This game will not hold on to your attention for too long. There's just not much to do. The story does not keep you interested. Score: 3/5 OVERALL: 7/10 |
