| Concept There has never been another farming game franchise. Harvest Moon owns the market, and has always done well with its large fan-base. It's only for hardcore gamers who want to try something different, but once you try it, you're hooked. It just has so many great ideas and hours of fun. Score: 5/5 Graphics FOMT has graphics similar to the N64 game, though they are not on an isometric view. Bottom line: the game looks excellent. Score: 5/5 Sound The catchy but repetitive background music on your farm is different for each season, and it may get annoying. The town and mountain have their own music, also repetitive. Some nice sound effects when using tools, etc. Score: 4/5 Playability The controls may take a little getting used to, but they are easy to use once you get them. You can get through the game knowing merely how to move, pick things up, and use tools, but there's more stuff that makes it all a bit easier. Score: 4/5 Entertainment Lots of fun. You can do so much: farming, raising livestock, fishing, mining, expanding your home, befriending the villagers, getting married, and starting a family. Score: 5/5 Replay Value High. Like I said above there is so much to do. And if you get bored with one lifestyle, you can start a new game and try something new or go after a different girl. Score: 5/5 OVERALL: 9.3/10 |
