As we all know, when you mix Rob Reiner and romantic comedies, you are bound to have a winner. While clearly not of the caliber as "The Princess Bride" or "When Harry Met Sally...", this film has a subtle charm that leaves the viewer feeling refreshed. Luke Wilson is brilliantly cast as Alex, the passionate author in need of a bestseller in order to escape the clutches of the Cuban mofia and his gambling debts. Kate Hudson graces the screen as Emma, the realist modern woman who fights her attraction to Alex. While this film isn't headed for Oscar fame, it certainly works for a Friday night viewing.
