Meltzer news item from this match (and subsequent matches after): "Flair suffered a torn bursa sac in his knee when he wrestled Angle on 6/27 in Anaheim. He was at first denying the injury, and of late, acknowledged it, but continued to work house shows on it and just kind of ignored the injury, but the constant work has kept it from healing. He needs to get it taken care of and was told to take four or five weeks off. It may require minor surgery." |
