Date:Oct 12 1992
Location: Saskatoon, SK
Arena: Saskatchewan Center
Match: vs. Bret Hart
Comments: When asked about dropping the title on Dave Meltzer's Eyada show, Flair remembered:
"Yeah, I had the inner-ear thing and I had that and I still wasn't over that. And I don't know if that influenced the decision to do it or not, but at that point, I did it that day and ended up being off for about five months. Remember that - as a result of that thing. So, I don't know. It was just one of those things. They made up their mind and probably had a booking meeting and said, 'We have to make some changes here' because Hulk had left at that point, Roddy had left, and I'm not sure if they were trying to build a new babyface or exactly what they were doing, but it just came down that day."

Editor adds:
Flair was out about five weeks, not five months.

Flair told Raw Magazine:
When I wrestled Bret, I was sick. I was never able to have a good match with him. I had an inner-ear problem, so it wasnt a very good match. I wish I couldve given him a match that he deserved to win the world title in. It was a terrible match. It was supposed to be on television, but never aired. I could hardly move. My equilibrium was gone. I went right from there to the Mayo Clinic.
