Date: Mar 1 1976
Location: New York, NY
Arena: Madison Square Garden
Match: vs. Pete Sanchez
Comments: Flair remembers:
“That was one of the first matches I had after the plane crash. I don’t think I knew the magnitude of it then. But I was going to New York, and I knew it was a big venue. I had always heard about Madison Square Garden. I wasn’t an opening match guy in the Carolinas, but I was there at the Garden. The fans didn’t know me, but I was just honored to be there; it was a big deal. Great atmosphere. I brought my dad.

It was pretty cool.”
