I feel the sunshine on my face,
every single ray of light.
It warms my heart and makes me smile,
it brings back thoughts of memories so bright.

I feel that I can create new moments,
single moments out of time.
As the sunshine now warms my face,
I believe that today can be mine.

I do not have to hang on memories long gone,
that have belonged to history so long,
hurtful incidents, pain and tears,
they all have made me strong.

I feel a motivation grow deep down inside,
It grows and lights my days.
I don't need couragement no more,
I have learned to find it in my own ways.

note : this was actually supposed to be called 'sunshine on my face'
but I felt like if I didn't do the title justice.
