She Bleeds

She bleeds
tears of molten pain,
as her soul rends;
never to be whole.
Color seeps
from her vision
as all hope fades
from her mockery of life.

Death is an open highway
that beckons with promises
of solitude and peace,
a veritable foolery of the devil.
The reaper reaches in
to tear her heart
from her chest, leaving a
gaping, aching void.

She curls into a ball
of sheer agony and wishes
for new life, for anything
other than the pain
of her broken heart.

She bleeds.
