Any horse with a light colored mane and tail is considered a Palomino. They can be any breed, but are most often thought of as quarter horses. The horses that play Argo are Palominos.(golden to be exact) Golden Palominos are the most rare type, and IMO the most beautiful.
There are three horses who play Argo. Tilly is the main one and Lucy's favorite. She is used for riding and most pictures. The second horse is Barbara. She is the stunt Argo and is used for Xena's flips and vaults as well as rearing. The last horse is Mac. Mac is a stallion and since he is stronger is used for shots where both Xena and Gabrielle ride. Tilly rules!
