Another reason why it's so cool. Across the street is a rehabilitation center for marine mammals and turtles. Some are long term residants like those who have been blinded, and some are able to be treated and released. If it is anything like the mammal center up here, they see a lot of human caused wounds like bullets and arrow, and also a lot of them are not able to survive. This manetee is healthy enough to be released soon.
