| Victims were often horsewhipped until their backs lay in ribbons. When the victims would pass out they were revived before the torture would continue. Children in the Netherlands were encouraged to whip the accused witches. This practice was used as a �step in training� for children whom were persuaded to take up a job as an executioner one day. | ||||||||||||
