| Many different types of water tortures were performed on accused witches. Some of these included being forced to swallow immense quantities of water, sometimes boiling, along with lengths of knotted cord or cloth. The cord or cloth would then be yanked out of the victim so violently that they would often become disemboweled. | ||||||||||||
