| The spider and rippers were both torture instruments used for basically the same purpose and to inflict an enormous amount of pain. They were sharp iron claws or forks used either red hot or freezing cold to rip the breasts and testicles off a person accused of heresy, self-abortion, adultery, witchcraft and other various crimes. | |||||||||||||||
