| Pressing, also know as Peine Forte Et Dure, was unfortunately a common form of torture. It was used as both a death sentence and a means to draw out a confession. The victim was placed on the ground and board or sheet of flat metal is placed on top of them. Numerous weights are then placed onto the board, slowly squeezing the victim to death. | |||||||||||||
