ONGOING PROJECTS

POP TABS

Any group, community or even an individual can raise money for the Ronald McDonald House by collecting the tabs that open aluminum cans. Recycling these pure, high-grade aluminum tabs helps provide funds used for our annual operating costs. This is an easy way to make a difference in the lives of the families who turn to the Ronald McDonald House-Miami in their time of need.
When: Ongoing
Where: Bring them to our weekly meetings at school or whenever you see a Key club officer
Officer In Charge: All
Why only pop tabs instead of the whole can? Well, the tabs are made of different quality aluminum than the cans and may be more easily recycled. These pop tabs can make a big impact when collected in numbers, as they are smaller and cleaner than collecting cans. They are also easier for the houses to handle when receiving large volumes.
Donated to: The Ronald McDonald House for Cancer Research
Other Information: POINTS 15 tabs = 1 extra credit point.
