| Ingredients: - 12" Dutch Oven - 1-lb Macaroni - Olive Oil Meat Filling: - 2 lbs lean hamburger - 1 onion - 8 cloves garlic - 1/4 tsp allspice - Salt and course ground pepper - 1 large can whole tomatoes Bechamel Sauce: - 1/2 cup butter - 1/4 cup flour - 2 cups milk - 16 ounces Asiago cheese - 1/2 of a whole nutmeg - A dash of salt |

| 1. Cook the pasts in boiling water. Before the noodles are fully cooked, drain and gently mix in two to four tbls of olive oil to keep the noodles from sticking together. Set the noodles aside. 2. Place the hamburger into a large mixing bowl. Finely dice onion and garlic. Knead together the hamburger, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and allspice. Some Greek recipes brown the meat separatley, and then add one egg white to bind it into the casserole. Or you can cook the meat in the casserole to save time. |
