10 Gallon Community Tank

Update 8/19/06
This tank has had an interesting life.  It was my very first tank.  Had a UGF, then switched to a power filter and took the UGF out.  Started with 3 danios, then I think I had some harlequin rasboras in it, ghost shrimp...then for awhile my blue tetras lived in it when I moved houses, then got a different tank to put them in and this tank was given to my roommate.  She got dwarf puffers for it, I think a rubbernose pleco and an apple snail...over a year or so the fish kicked the bucket (she wasn't a big fan of water changes etc) and now she is no longer my roommate, I moved upstairs and she left the tank so it is mine again.   I bought a new AC filter for it and it is currently fishless cycling while I decide what I want to do with it.

Bad picture, sorry...just taken with my webcam since its right next to the desk. Jug of ammonia close by for cycling.  Can't seem to find my test kits after the move so I've just been hap hazardly adding a cap of ammonia every once in awhile, and I noticed that there are still some snails alive in the tank even though the bottom picture is what it looked like for probably a couple of months before I got a new filter, filled up the tank with water and started it cycling....

Update 8/19/07
Wow, just noticed that I updated this page exactly a year ago! haha  anyway...so now this tank is empty and I'm using its empty filter to mix saltwater.  After this update below, the tank finished cycling and then tried a group of cardinal tetras.  Unfortunately that ended badly for all involved.   They were fine for a week or so and then several died at the same time and I must have missed one or something and within the next two weeks they had all passed on.   I let the tank completely dry out and am currently trying to figure out what to do with it.  I think for now it is going to stay empty with all of the stuff that I have going on with my saltwater tanks.
