| Our chapter, together with our sister squadron of Arnold Air Society, hosted a joint POW/MIA Remembrance Day on April 9, 2003. From 7 AM to 9 PM, the Arnies took one-hour shifts sitting in a bamboo cage set on the South Oval, while Silver Wings manned an information table with ribbons, bookmarks, and cards to the troops for students and faculty to sign. At 8:30 PM, we hosted a candlelight vigil beside the cage, praying for the soldiers currently in Iraq and their families, as well as the families of the missing from America's other wars. |
