| Feed the Firemen |
| The Joint National Project for 2003 was "True Heros". Together with our sister AAS squadron and the AFA Gerrity Chapter of Central Oklahoma, we ran a project called Feed the Firemen, delivering a spaghetti dinner to the Norman firefighters over the course of three nights. It was ambitious, difficult, but fun and rewarding, and we hope it will be the precurser to many similar successful joint projects. |
| For three hectic but fun-filled afternoons, members of Silver Wings, Arnold Air Society, and the Air Force Association worked together in the apartment kitchens of our members to prepare the food we were delivering. |
| The Littleaxe firehouse was so pleased with the project that we were invited to come back out the following Sunday to get some pictures with the on-duty firemen. They let us see all their equipment, explained how everything worked, and take some very fun pictures while we were there. |
