| That Old House Written by Thresea I would like to tell you about my family, There's Dad, Mom, two Brothers, two Sisters and Me. My Dad and Mom are the greatest, (well) they are beyond compare. They always had pleanty of love to spare. We always had an extra kid or two living with us all the time. But we didn't care and Dad didn't mind. Dad and Mom and the boys worked all day in the fields, While Ellen kept us girls at home and cooked the meals. I remember Mom in the kitchen sweeping with a broom Ellen listening to Elvis records in her bedroom. Daddy out front wrestling with the boys, Kathy sitting in the back playing with her toys. And me, well I had the best fun of all, Building big playhouses without any walls. I'll never forget those happy years we shared as a family, In that old house, through the good, bad, happy, and sad. Every now and then I walk back to look at that old house, That now looks like a shack. Every day when I pray to God above, I thank him for sending me this Fowler family to love. Proverbs 22:28 & Proverbs 23:10 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy Fathers have set. Remove not the old landmark. |
