By The Sea The waves rush in and bring debris Of all the used up remnant of the sea. Children play in view of watchful eyes, While bird of prey fill the clear blue skies. The breaks in the surf roar up to shore As surfers in their suits cling to their boards. Heavy breezes fill the air, stirring up the smells While out in the deep blue, currents swell. Seagulls calling out for mate and food, Glide round and round,on pier post stood Waiting for a scrap of an unwanted catch, Always happy to get, either this or that. Oh what a mystical wonder of creation, The sky and blue sea lack separation. They blend together, like on a canvas While artists strokes to its advantage, How awesome that it didn't evolve. It was made by God, mystery solved. The earth scooped out, filled with water, And life abounds beneath it's swallow. To God be the glory for all He has done To make such a beauty of water and sun. And place man here to thrive and absorb The wonders of standing on the seashore. Genesis 1:10 And God called the dry land earth; And the gathering together of waters called He seas; And God saw that it was good. ~Author Shirley Barr~ Copyright 3/28/04 Used with permission.
