If you still have your Mother, be thankful. Some people have loving Mothers, some don't. Some have wonderful memories, some don't. Some have Mothers to raise them, some don't. I asked my friend Shy to write a Mothers day poem for her, and I, because for different reasons we didn't experence the loving relationship of a Mothers love....... Shy's Mom wasn't a very loving person, and she has a deep void, where there should have been loving memories. She is so happy that God has blessed her with children and she has a loving and close relationship with them. My Mom died when I was a baby. So for those who have lost your Mothers, hold on to your memories, if they are good ones, and Thank God that you have them. A Mothers Love Defined Written By Shirley Barr If i had been blessed with a Mother full of love I would always respect her and thank God above. She would brush my long hair, with love in each stroke And tell me bedtime stories about angels and such folk. Her smell would be fresh in my mind, where ever I went, And the lilac and beautiful roses would be her scent. She would tuck me in bed all snuggled to my head. Wishing me sweet dreams, waiting patiently by my bed. Until I would nod off into that land of make believe. Then she would tuck me again, sweet kisses she would leave. There is no greater love on this earth, than a Mother's for her child Her tender soft voice, her meekness, even strong was still mild . She gives you knowledge as you grow, and teaches right from wrong. Her love and support never waivers, even when you think it's to strong. She always does what is best for you, and tries to give you room To learn from your own mistakes, for you will need to know soon How to raise your own children, if God sees fit to show you favor. Remembering the warm touch of your mothers hand to savor. If I had but one wish on this Mothers Day what would it be? I'd wish that my Mother and I could have shared these qualities, But not all who give birth are Mothers, you see, It takes love and a bond throughout eternity. It's not up to me to turn back the hands of time, But it is my privilege to be the best Mother you can find. Ezekiel 19:10 Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters. |
