Submission Rules
Rules for Submitting Fiction
I don't think these are too painful.
1. All submissions must be e-mailed to me. I'd think the  reasons for this would be obvious.  Just attach the document to your message; if, for some reason, that doesn't work, I'll let you know how to get it to me.  If your fic is more than three or four chapters, or your chapters are really long (i.e., if the files are really big) please just send one at a time; my Hotmail account doesn't like big attachments.

2. Completed works only, please. I don't care how long or short your fic is, but I won't take works in progress, for the simple reason that many people lose interest halfway through a story (myself included) and never finish.  This is disappointing to the readers and irritating to me, so be sure your fics are fully done before sending them in.

3. Grammar, grammar, grammar! Self-explanatory, really.  I absolutely refuse to accept submissions that read like they were written by a second-grader.  Spellchecker is your friend; use it.  Characterization is another thing I'll look for.

4.  Format Submissions Correctly. This is important, because I'm lazy.  I use the same format on the site, and having your submissions the way I want them already makes things easier for me.  Also, you can submit more than one fic per e-mail, but make sure you do a separate format for each one.  (Note:  If you're sending more than one multiple-chapter fic, please use separate e-mails.)  Submissions should look like this:

Subject:  Fic Submission: "[Your Fic Title Here]" (This goes in the subject line of the e-mail, so I know it isn't spam)

(The rest of this belongs in the actual message)

Title: Your fic title goes here again.
Author: That's you.  Whatever pseudonym you want to use goes here.
Category: How would you categorize your fic? (check out fanfiction.net if you don't understand) I may add categories if necessary.
Pairings:   Anybody getting together?  Tell me who.  If there isn't anyone, just put "none."  (Note: I'll never reject a fic on basis of pairing)
Rating: Like on a movie, G (as dirty as Bambi) to NC-17 (for hardcore lemons).  I reserve the right to increase your rating if I think it's necessary.
Summary: A brief note telling the reader what's going on in the story, including any warnings (lemon, death, violence, etc.)
Oneshot/Multi-Chapter/Epic: One of these tags should be included so that I know where to archive the fic.  Multi fics are between two and ten chapters long.  Anything more than ten chapters is Epic.

Just attach the document(s) to the e-mail, and voila! You're done.

Okay, that's it.  Not too painful, hmm?  I very rarely reject submissions, so go ahead and send them in.
