| With pain and panic greet we, In sorrow do we part, Anger and regret do beat me, And sadness quells my heart. The end is here if you are lost, Will I then be betrayed? Although my heart is torn and tossed, It cannot be dismayed. With hope and hunger greet we, In gladness do we bask. When next do you wish to meet me? Smiling as I ask. Morose and merry in one instant, All in one glimpse of time. Sins of mine against you I repent, To exist with you in our heaven sublime. Copyright Sean M. York, 2004 |
