This is a one-part story that I wrote off the top of my head, hope you like it.

Dedicated to my sissies PBwtJ, Sabs, Bloody, Nicci, Nichi-chan n Raven, might have 
a couple of others I forgot about though…

didn't quite sound right. I thought they sounded weird too so *whaps PBwtJ on the

Disclaimer: Really, did you think I owned them? I’m so flattered but if I did, I

Together Till The End

Neo-Queen Serenity and Neo-King Endymion stood perched on the highest balcony in 
the Crystal Palace overlooking the battle that had been going on non-stop for many 
days on end. They saw their soldiers, his prized generals, her cherished senshi, 
and their beloved daughter fighting below them for the sake of the kingdom, for 
them.


“So this is how it ends," the finally aging Serenity spoke solemnly, staring 
intently at the raging battle below.


It was more of a statement than a question and they both knew it.


“Yes, the peace couldn’t last forever you know. Good things cannot last forever, 
even something as grand as Crystal Tokyo,” the ebony-haired king spoke gravely, 
his voice and eyes conveying his sadness. As an involuntary nervous habit, he 
raked a hand through his hair, showing strands of silver in his thinning hair.


“Are you ready Endy? Are you ready to do what is best for our people, though it’ll 
mean our deaths?” Serenity asked her soul mate in earnest, knowing what the answer 
would be but needed to hear it out loud.


“I’ve always been ready my love,” he replied quietly.


“Then let us do this one last deed.”


Serenity and Endymion closed their eyes and held their cupped hands in front of 
them. Summoning the famous Silver Imperial Crystal born of the Moon and The Golden 
Crystal born from the Earth they stood on. Turning to one another they said their 
final goodbyes.


“Aisheteru Mamo-chan,” Serenity called her lover of many years by the nickname of 
their youth long gone. “Forever till the end huh?” she joked lamely, wanting 
something to lighten up the glum atmosphere.


“Aisheteru Usako,” Endymion returned the sentiment, remembering the days of when 
they had been young and so deeply in love. “Hai, we’ll always be together; we’ll 
be together to the end.”


Smiling, Serenity reached up and wrapped her arms around Endymion to pull him down 
for a final kiss. Lingering for a moment, they wished they could stay like that 
forever but knew they had to complete the task at hand. With the conviction of 
knowing what had to be done, the lovers of countless millennia broke apart. 
Holding hands they prepared to wipe out all the evil forces attacking their once 
peaceful kingdom. As they were about to call out the words to activate the 
crystals into power, the Senshi and generals burst outside onto the balcony.


“Sorry your majesties, but we felt you summon the crystals and we couldn’t let you 
do it alone.” The Head General Malachite said respectfully, bowing down to the 
King and Queen.


“Yea, we couldn’t let you steal the spotlight without us could we?” The Senshi of 
Uranus Haruka Ten’oh threw quirkily, smirking slightly.


Smiling gratefully, the Royal couple let out a laugh at their dear friend’s 
antics. They heard a smashing sound inside and the Senshi and Generals rushed out 
to find out the cause of the commotion. The youmas appeared grinned maniacally and 
attacked the legendary soldiers of love and justice ruthlessly. Although they put 
up a good fight and struck numerous youmas down, the Senshi and Generals slowly 
fell one by one. Crying out as she saw her best friend Rei Hino - The Senshi of 
Mars - fall as the last defender, Serenity and Endymion’s court’s souls lay down 
in peace, nearly.


With renewed strength, Serenity gripped her lover’s hand tightly.


“Endy, we can’t let this go any further, I refuse to let them die in vain. These 
monsters will *not* get away with this.”


“So be it, we will have to finish what we started alone.”


Serenity nodded and turned to face her Prince, her Lover, her King, her Soul Mate 
to gaze at him one last time. Facing each other completely and entwined both their 
hands with the other’s, Serenity & Endymion, Usagi & Mamoru, closed their eyes and 
the Crystals floated from their hearts to the center then merged, flashing with 
silver and gold lights.


“I call upon my mother the Goddess of the Moon, Selene, to watch over me and guide 
me in this last ceremony.” Serenity/Usagi intoned clearly.


“I call upon my mother the Goddess of Earth, Gaia, to aid me and advise me for the 
last ceremony.” Endymion/Mamoru chanted emotionlessly.


“I plead you to help my soul mate and I to destroy this evil before us, Mother of 
thy Lunarians.”


“I beseech you to assist us to rid our planet of the abhorred sin, o Mother Earth 
of thy Terrans.”


“We beg you thee, Goddesses, to lend us thy powers and protect us, your children, 
to complete this last wish,” The lovers bound by souls through time implored their 
Mother Goddesses.


They felt a surge of indescribable power run through them. Serenity felt the sweet 
calmness of Selene, her love, the beauty of the moonlight. She felt the familiar 
warmth and happiness she had once had in the Moon Palace, the joy of looking at 
the blue and green orb in the sky amongst the flowers of the Royal Moon Garden. 
Endymion felt the motherly love of Gaia, her promise of protection, the coolness 
of the ground beneath him. He could feel the sworn alliance of the animals to him, 
the ripeness of fruits, the wondrous feeling of looking up at the ever-changing 
moon. But there was still something missing.


Serenity and Endymion felt cool hands on their shoulders and sensed somehow that 
it was their sworn protectors. Knowing that with the strength of the Goddesses, 
the love of their friends, they could take on anything.


“Cosmic Moon Power!” Serenity hollered and a flash of silver sparkled.


“Venus Power!” the Inner Senshi leader the Senshi of Venus - or Minako Aino - 
called out to join her. One by one her 7 other Senshi called out to their planets 
to aid their Queen.


“Cosmic Earth Power!” Endymion yelled then a blast of gold shimmered about him.


“Terrain Power!” Malachite - who controlled the element Earth- shouted. Three 
other voices soon joined him consecutively, asking their elements to assist their 
King.


Flashes of gold and silver consumed the Earth for a few, brief minutes and then 
there was nothing. When the haze had cleared away, Serenity and Endymion saw 
nothing but emptiness around them.


“Together till the End,” Serenity said serenely, knowing her death was but a few 
moments away.


“Hai, Together till the End,” Endymion agreed peacefully and reached out for 
Serenity’s hand. A moment later their bodies hit the ground quietly and 
disintegrated. They had died together till the end, as they had wanted it.
