Sunset to Remember Author: sabra Rated: R Wow! It's been SUCH a long time since I updated! I'm so sorry for not getting this up sooner! I shall try much harder to get the next chappie out very quickly. School. -.- Disclaimer:~ Alas, I do not own Sailor Moon.. On with the story! Chapter 5 ~*Chapter five*~ ~*Motoki's Point of View*~ I sat in the driver's seat of my blue camero, pondering Usa's strange actions. She's been through so much, and I am worried that she might be into something that she can't come out of so easily. Every day, I could tell she was coming closer and closer to the dark side, but I didn't have the heart to ask her about it. Seconds later, a loud, high-pitched beeping interrupted my thoughts. "Shit! Not now!" I picked up the communicator quickly and answered. "Motoki, here." I saw Rei-chan on the screen, she looked worried. "Motoki-chan! You have to get down here, and QUICK! There's a battle going on at the park!" "No, Rei-chan, I didn't notice... I mean, where else is there that many trees?" I stated, trying to lighten the mood. "Motoki, I am NOT in the mood for your sarcasm! Now get you're sorry ass over here this instant!" She clicked off. I wondered for a moment, what had her in such a bad mood, then put the car in gear and sped off towards the park. ~*Usagi's House*~ "My, my head.... What's going on?" Usagi moaned softly as a bright light overtook her mind. When she opened her eyes she saw a man in dark blue armor standing in front of her. "Serenity? Is.... Is it really you?" He asked softly. She tried to reply, 'I don't know who that is' but something stopped her. She couldn't speak, she couldn't move. Suddenly, the man's figure warped into that of another. A taller man with dark hair and dark blue eyes, he held a black crystal to her neck. "Die Serenity!" Just as the crystal was about to penetrate her skin, the figure changed again. A woman with long silver hair, done up in odangoes, slowly stroked her cheek. 'Serenity, my daughter... Have you recovered your memories yet? Have you learned anything of your past, and your future?" A silent tear slipped down the woman's face. Then she dissappeared. "I'm not Serenity!" Usagi shouted as she awoke with a start, bumping her forehead into something hard. The hard thing had a voice. "Yes, I know that.. You're Tsukino Usagi, Odango Atama, Blondie, Bunny, Usa-chan... You have many names, Odango... But to my knowledge, Serenity isn't one of them." "Mamoru... What happened? Why are you here? Has my couch always been this comfortable?" He laughed at her last comment. "I found you, unconscious, outside my house. You had a syringe in your purse, and a bottle of Vodka in your hand. What are you doing to yourself Odango?" "It's none of your concern!" She snapped back. "Who are you to tell me what I can, and can't do? What are you saying? Why are you looking at me like that?" Her cries slowly started to quiet down as her stomach did backflips. "Mamoru... Why are you--" She got up and quickly ran to the bathroom. Mamoru stood behind her, pulling her hair back out of her face and rubbing her shoulders. "You're gonna be okay... Shh.. Calm down, Usa.. Relax... You're gonna be fine." She slapped her hand over her mouth as she coughed again. "That stuff's gonna hurt your hand.." She brought her hand away from her mouth slowly. He continued to rub her back as he spoke. "Do you want to throw up?" She shook her head negative. "Do you think that you can stand up?" She paused for a moment before nodding her head and standing up. She only stood there, not saying anything... only staring at him. "Come on, Odango... Lets get you back to the couch." With that, he scooped her up and carried her out towards the living room. Too tired to protest, Usagi only slumped against his figure and sighed, as a silent tear slipped down her face. 'It hurts... My heart hurts... I-I don't know what to do... I feel like I'm fighting a battle with myself, and I'm losing. It feels as if someone is trying to get out....' Mamory gently set her down on the couch and stroked her silken hair. He watched her silently as she wiped away her tears and looked up at him. "Mamoru...? What's happening to me? I can't take this any more.. I feel like someone's trying to get out of me... As if I'm being ripped apart..." She winced slightly and regained her composure. "Usa.. I don't know what to tell you... But this has to stop. You can't continue hurting yourself like this... It's not right, Odango." He tested the much-hated nickname out to see if she was back to her normal self. Noticing her glaring at him, he realized that she was. "Hey Usagi, what do you say we go out for some ice-cream? I know I great little place by the park.." Her eyes lit up as she heard the words 'ice cream'. "Yes! Arigato Mamoru-baka! Arigato!" She fiercly hugged him and arose from the couch, running up the stairs. "Hey! Where are you going?" He questioned as he sprinted after her. "To change! Do you really think that I'm gonna go out for ice cream in my nightgown?" She replied back, giggling. "No, I suppose not.." he mumbled as they stopped. Flopping down on her window seat he waited. She only stood there and watched him. Sensing her staring at him, Mamoru looked up. "Aren't you supposed to be changing?" "Not while you're here, I'm not." She almost laughed at him. "I won't look." He looked out the window after he spoke. Usagi opened her mouth to argue, but seeing that he wouldn't be swayed, she only turned around and went to look through her closet. "Fine." Rumaging through the drawers and drawers of her closet, she laughed to herself. 'I own over three times as many pairs of clothes as the average teenage girl, and I still can't figure out what to wear. Hehe.' She smiled to herself and continued looking. Ten minutes later, Mamoru was resting his head against the wall. His eyes shot open and he quickly looked up as he heard Usagi's shout of triumph. "Aha!" Rolling his eyes, he saw that she was still wearing what she had been ten minutes ago. "What are you 'aha'-ing about? You're still in the same outfit." He questioned, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "I'm 'aha'-ing, because I found something to wear. Genius." She muttered the last part under her breath. "Now don't look." She said as she stripped herself of her clothes and pulled on the black baggy pants, and silver tube top. She slipped on her favorite pair of black and hot pink combat boots and admired herself in the mirror. "Well Mamoru, what do you think?" His eyes trailed over her slim frame. Taking it all in, he replied with a slight gulp. "The shirt shows your stomach, your pants are too low, the black, and silver don't go with the black and pink, and where on earth did you get those pink panther boxers? I want some." His last sentece lead her to realize that he was joking. She laughed and walked over to him, taking his arm. "Come on, Mamoru. Lets get this show on the road." His face showed confusion at her statement as she led him to their parking garage. "Odango, weren't we taking my car?" He only saw her shake her head as she walked over to a black Suzuki Bandit 1200S. "Or we can take that..." His mind went fuzzy as he pictured driving the bike with Usagi holding onto him. Realizing what he was thinking, she laughed and spoke. "Quit your day-dreaming, Mamoru. I drive, or you walk. You choose." She giggled slightly as she saw the look on his face. Total and complete dissapointment. As an after though, she added. "If you're good.. I just might let you drive on the way back. Maybe." She laughed her angelic laugh once again and hopped on the bike. Mamoru quickly made his decision and got on behind her. She slipped on a black helmit with a pink panther on it, and the words 'Bite Me' written in white on the back. Before he slipped his helmet on, he grinned and spoke. "If you insist." With that, he pulled her hair away from her neck and bit down softly. Usagi's eyes went wide as she felt his mouth on her neck. Just the feel of his lips against her skin set her on fire. Her body completely froze and he gently caressed her neck. Finally, her senses snapping back into place, she turned around and back-handed him right in the jaw. "Mamoru! Don't do that!" She screeched. "But your helmet said to do it." He replied with mock sheepishness. "Mamoru, if my helmet told you to sky dive without a parachute off the golden gate bridge... WOULD YOU DO IT!?" She shouted angrilly at him. He only laughed, slipped his helmet on, and wrapped his arms around her waist. Her expression softened as she started up the engine and drove off to the left. Saying a commanding word under her breath, she watched as a panel slid off a portion of the wall. When it finished opening she drove through the passage way to avoid any extra traffic. Mamory watched in interest as they sped by many original paintings and graffiti on the walls of the passage way. He had only been through here once, when Motoki was first building it three and a half years ago. No one knew about this passage way except Him, Mokoti, and Usagi. Usagi's mother knew about the passage way as well, but her knowledge died along with her. Many of the paintings along the walls were hers or Usagi's. Motoki wasn't much of a painter, but he loved to do graffiti and poetry. The passage way was a combination of all their artistic skills. The purpose of the passage way was still unknown to Mamoru. Only Usagi and Motoki knew that; though one day he planned to ask Motoki about it. As they continued to speed downthe passage way, Usagi called back to him. "Beautiful isn't it? That painting is my mothers!" His eyes focused on the portion of the wall that she was pointing at, as the bike slowed down. It was, by far, the most beautiful mural he had ever seen. It displayed a woman with silver hair, in a long flowing white gown, standing atop a pearl balcony reaching her hand skywards. Floating mere inches above her outstreched hand, was a beautiful crystal, that seemed to hold all of the colors of the rainbow in one. A heavenly light surrounded her, causing her to glow with radience. His eyes then fell on a small figure sitting on the corner rail of the balcony. A little girl with long flowing golden hair, with her knees pulled up at her chest, and a pair of wings wrapped gently around her. The little girl watched the woman with nothing but love and admiration showing in her eyes. Mamoru's eyes sparkled as he took the whole picture in, committing it to memory. Usagi revved her engine and sped off yet again. After about fifteen minutes they came to a large titanium wall. Usagi spoke something quietly under her breath and the wall rose, leading onto a highway ramp, right by the park. She drove out onto the highway and within seconds they were at the park. She parked her bike and got off, turned around and smiled at him. "Enjoy your ride?" He smiled gently at her and took her hand. "Very much." She blushed and pulled her hand away. Linking arms with him, she spoke. "So where is this ice cream place?" She smiled and they strode off. Well, that's it so far! Hopefully you all like it!
