I am called Gaelic wind & this is my tale:The night I was born, a fierce storm was blowing across my homeland.I arrived so quickly, there was no one attending to my mother.When my father arrived, she told him; "She was born as fast as the wind.""Aye, he said. "This lass will be a quick one in all that she learns.""The first thing she will learn is her name." He took me from my mother and went out into the storm.He held me up to the storm and cried: "Hear me, My Lord, this is myfirstborn!" "She will be forever known as GAELIC_WIND! in honor of our ancient tongue and the way she arrived into the world!"When I was but 4 springs of age, I had to leave my homeland. War had come, my father had been killed. My mother and only sister could not make the journey, for they were too ill. So, in order for me to have the life my mother thought I deserved, I was sent across the sea to Amphibolies, to be raised by an aunt.As I grew, I learned many things very quickly: How to tell time by the Moon and Stars, also by the Sun shining overhead. How to be a friend to all Woodland creatures, never to harm them, but to respect them, and also to thank them when I needed their life-force to sustain my own.I was befriended by a village girl and her 3 brothers.Their Mother ran the village tavern.Little did I know that the girl, (who had raven-colored hair and eyes that were as blue as the Great Sea) who was named Xena, would turn into a warlord. (After Cortese raided Amphibolis, which took the lives of her beloved brothers, my friends.) I pleaded with her not to leave,not to seek revenge, but her heart was too full of anger and rage, she did not listen to her mother or me, so she left with a bitter heart.After 10 years in Amphibolis, my aunt died. I found out also that my beloved mother and sister had died, subcomming to disease.Lonely, and with no one to call family, I left Amphibolis to find my way in the world. I learned along the way, that my friend Xena had finally changed her ways, with the help of an Amazon Princess named Gabrielle, and together they were doing good deeds.After 5 years of being alone, I was bathing by a waterfall when I heard laughter coming from a distance. I quickly dressed and followed the sound.I stumbled right into an Amazon camp! Something told me that I was finally home! I dropped to one knee, bowed my head & saluted the Queen, who asked what I wanted.I replied: "My Queen, I ask for the Right Of Adoption into your tribe." "I have many skills that can be of use to you."The Queen did accept my petition, and now I am an honored teacher of the Silver Moon Amazons, using my skills to teach my fellow Amazons and Manazons to temper Might With Mercy, and also to remember our former Queens, Gabrielle & Xena among the Honored.
