Are you ready to join Silver Meadows? Then here are some last minute details for joining. I reserve the right to refuse membership, but this has rarely happened (maybe once or twice). I expect all prospective members to reply to emails. If you do not reply, you will not be added to the membership.
Read The Way, which contains Holt Guidelines and Rules. This is one of the most important things to do. I will know if you haven't done it.
Check out the Adoptable Characters page. Currently, there are none to choose from, but you are more than welcome to email me. I may have one or two unlisted characters that have come newly available. In the event that you would like to try to persuade me to accept your original character into SMH, please email me with the CIS and a writing sample.
Fill out and submit the Joining Form. It is the preferred method to join the Holt. Even if you try to join at the Yahoo Groups page first, I will require the Joining Form to be submitted before I will approve anyone's membership. Upon receipt of the form, I will send you an invitation to the Yahoo Group, along with some basic information about joining Silver Meadows Holt.
Now, that you have been accepted as a member, you must read the Charater Creation information. This will help you complete your prospective character's CIS (Character Information Sheet). Once you have completed the CIS, email it to me for approval. I will ask questions in e-mail once you have submitted the CIS, so don't get discouraged if I make you change something. I want this Holt to be the best it possibly can be, and with that comes the strict obligation to make everything flow and fit to the best of my ability. It is truly worth accepting any constructive advice, if you want to be a member of an active Holt.
Until I give approval, you are forbidden from participating in the RPG. Though you can't play, you can still read the posts. I do expect all members new and old to read all posts. It is always a good idea for newbies to read past RPGs, so you know what has happened. This will also give you insight into how your character has been played in the past, in the event that you have adopted a character. Upon approval, feel free to jump into the game!
