Amarha ~ female/pureblooded elf. Lifemate of Chabin, foster mother of Eclipse. She was a pleasant and loving elfess. Vivacious and full of life. Her dark russet brown hair was her most prized attribute, and she kept it impeccably clean and styled. She had bright blue eyes that shone with love and intelligence, a slender face with delicate features, and a regal, statuesque build.

When Mindstalker and his young niece left the Hunt upon Wild-One's tragic death, Amarha became mother to the young girl. She taught the wild and reckless she-cub to be more than Hunt. Amarha helped instill in her a sense of peaceful calm, which her birth mother never possessed. She also helped Eclipse develop her raw talent as a storyteller by showing the child how to weave her rich words with captivating images. She died of the wasting sickness while Eclipse was pregnant with Heartstring.

Cat ~ female/wolfblooded elf. Daughter of Rahnee the She-Wolf and Zarhan Fastfire, lifemate of Slowthrower and Lightfeet, mother of Deerwise, Wanderer, and Shadow-Wolf.

Chabin ~ male/pureblooded elf. Lifemate of Amarha, foster father of Eclipse. A warm and kind elf, Chabin had an easy smile and a gentle humor. He was tall and slender, with smiling brown eyes and wavy sand-colored hair. There seemed to be a light about him that never went out, until the day Amarha passed away. He was fiercely devoted to her, and though the pair never had children of their own, their's was a happy match. From the moment he laid eyes on young Eclipse, he called her his own. He and Amarha gladly took the child into their den and raised her in love to adulthood. Chabin continued to dote on Eclipse until his death, caused by the deadly bite of a spiritmaker spider.

Deerwise ~ male, wolfblooded elf. Son of Cat and Lightfeet, brother of Wanderer and Shadow-Wolf, lifemate of Summerveil, father of Winterdream and Stillone. He was a brawny, broad-shouldered hulk of an elf. Deerwise was once the strongest hunter in the tribe. He had bright moss green eyes, rugged features, and the heart of a rogue. His booming laughter could often be heard around the Holt as he was in a perpetual good mood. Much beloved by the tribe, his death devasted everyone, especially his lifemate, Summerveil, who was expecting their second cub at the time. He died during a journey to the grasslands for a ringneck hunt. When Shadow-Wolf slipped on the rain-soaked river bank, he leapt to the rescue and threw her to safety. In turn, Deerwise fell into the river and was bashed and broken by rocks where he eventually drowned.

Nerai Lifebringer ~ female/Firstcomer. The last of two Firstcomers left to her tribe, Nerai was the midwife of the Grasscatcher tribe Highcrest was born into. Short for her kind, yet very tall compared to the later generations of elves, she had a straight fall of thick, black hair and dark brown eyes. Gentle, wise, and very strong-willed, she was lifemate to Highcrest (then named Catcher) for over a century. However, Nerai’s health declined each winter she spent upon Abode as she was very prone to pneumonia. The winters gradually grew more and more difficult for her to tolerate, and she died an anticipated death two hundred years ago.
