Character Creation Guide
Here are some things to consider when creating your character.
Race:
In Silver Meadows Holt there are limited choices of race for your character. You may either choose a wolf-blooded elf or a pure-blooded elf or some combination of the two. No other elf-animal hybrids will be accepted.
Name:
Among the wolf-blooded elves, nature-based names are the norm. Names can come from appearance, personality, favored weapon, skill or something special that s/he did. You can create an elf (or wolf or other animal/pet) name by taking one or two words to create a name with originality and special meaning to your character. Look to the Native Americans for inspiration! Their names were often taken from nature. Wolf-blooded elves also have a soulname, which is created by putting together random letters. For example, "Kaij", "Femi", "Chael", are all soulnames of characters in Holt. You are required to submit a soul name with your CIS.
Pureblooded elves almost always have sound names. Sound names are created by putting together random syllables. For example, in the Holt, we have three pureblooded elves: Kathen, Tirzah, and Jarro.
Also, there are no Preservers in this Holt, so you don't have to worry about creating a Preserver name for your character.

Clothing:
You might consider looking at the seasons page before you decide your character's clothing. Typically you should choose a warm weather outfit and a cold weather outfit that can be altered according to the seasons.
Magic:
When you choose magic for your character, dont be greedy. Remember, it is extremely uncommon for an elf to have more than one true magic gift, and many have none at all. Having magic is also not always a useful trait, as opposed to having talents.
Tribe Position:
What place will your character have in the tribe? Will they be a provider or a craftsman? A teacher, healer, hunter or advisor? Here is a list.
