| The first ruler of the moon who BSSM fans are introduced to is Queen Serenity. She rules over Silver Millenium. Her daughter is Princess Serenity. When her kingdom is destroyed (shouldn't it be called a queendom?) She sends her daughter a thousand years into the future to become Sailor Moon. Then because of ecological disaster (I don't think they ever explain exactly what happens) the entire planet freezes over, and every living thing is placed in a state of dormancy (I think the scientific term is suspended animation), and they sleep for a thousand years. Then Princess Serenity awakens (Do you realize this means that she's been alive for over two thousand years?) She becomes Neo Queen Serenity, and awakens the planet. Then she marries Neo King Endymion, and they have a daughter, Chibi-usa. Technically, Chibi-usa's title is Princess Serenity. Unfortunately, if you refer to her as Princess Serenity no one knows if you're talking about her, or her mother before becoming a queen, so Chibi-usa is refered to as Princess Chibi Serenity, or Small Lady. Neo Queen Serenity rules over Crystal Tokyo. |
