Sailor Moon is the pretty Sailor Solder of Love, Truth, and Justice! Born a thousand years ago on the moon as Princess Serenity, she fell in love with Prince Endymion of Earth. When the evil Queen Beryl attacked the Silver Millenium Moon Kingdom Endymion faced off against Queen Beryl to protect his beloved (*sigh...*). When the evil force proved too strong he was captured by Queen Beryl. Princess Serenity jumped off her balcony into the evil whirlwind just so they could die together (*it's so sweet!*). Her mother, Queen Serenity, upon seeing her daughter taken, used the power of the Imperium Silver Crystal (the ginzuishou in Japanese) to capture the evil invaders, the prince and princess, and the future rulers of all the planets in her alliance, and send them ot the future (our present) to be reborn on Earth. Just before she died she placed her cat advisors, Luna and Artemis in time chambers so they also would travel to the future Earth.
When the princess was reborn as Tsukino Usagi, or Serena she had no memory of her former life. When she was fourteen she met a talking black cat named Luna (*sound familiar?*) who told her that it was her ultimate destiny to be the defender of love and justice, Sailor Moon! |
