| Greg knew about Amy even before they met. That was partly because he read about her in newspaper articles about national test scores, and partly because he was a visionary. He had the spirit of the third Shadow Warrior, Bumboo reborn inside him, which gave him the ability to see the future. When his dad's business moved the family so that they lived near Amy they started going to the same school. Greg REALLY liked her, but was too shy to let her know. Serena, with her unbelievable sense of anything romantic or worth gossiping about was almost immediately suspicious that he might have a crush on Amy. She confronted him, and made him spill the beans. He showed her a newspaper clipping he'd been carrying around about Amy. When Serena saw how wrinkled and worn it was she gave him a picture of Amy eating a hamburger with her mouth wide open (lol). Later Greg was walking when Zoisite appeared before him. He knew immediately who she was (I'll say "she" so long as I'm using the English names, in Japsanese Zoisite was a boy), and he knew why she wanted him. He'd had a vision, so he knew about the Shadow Warrior locked in the Crystal inside him. His vision had also shown him the Sailors' identities. Zoisite was about to attack him when Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury showed up to protect him. Mercury took him and ran to get away, to hide him while Sailor Moon kept Zoisite busy. They hid in an amusement park (it was closed and dark). Greg said,"Thank you, Amy" then fell asleep on a bench. Mercury was decidedly astonished to hear him call her by her earth name. Then she saw something sticking out of his pocket, and realised it was a picture of her eating a hamburger. She was wondering how he got it when he started moaning, and looking like he was in pain. She woke him up, and told him he was having a bad dream. He said it wasn't a dream; he'd seen the future, and knew that he would become a monster and attack her. He called her Amy again, and she pretended she didn't know why he was calling her that. He knew she was pretending, but let it drop. Then he said that when he became a monster she must promise to destroy him so he wouldn't hurt her. She cried,"No!" and said that the future was something he had to build by himself, and he mustn't let visions decide things for him. Suddenly, Zoisite appeared (she hadn't stuck around with Sailor Moon long before going to find Greg). She made the Black Crystal shine on him, and he turned into Bumboo. Mercury shouted, "Your destiny! The future is something you build by yourself!" Then instead of attacking her the Shadow Warrior attacked Zoisite! Zoisite said, "How can his heart still be human?" Then she made the Black Crystal Shine on him again and said persuasively that it was the Sailor Scouts he must destroy. This time he turned to attack Sailor Mercury. Sailor Moon showed up then, and after a long fight managed to turn him human again. Not long after this Greg's family had to move again, and Amy, Serena, and Leta went to the train station to see him off. Mercury gave him a very pretty picture of herself, and said it was much better than the other because she didn't have her mouth wide open like Serena. Then Greg had to get on the train, and Any stood on the platform and waved until he was out of sight. |
