Messages in the Moonlight - Dowsing

Dowsing

There are three different forms of dowsing; one using a pendulum, one using L rods, and one using Y rods. They are used to determine yes or no questions, and in some cases to find an area with water or oil (and other natural resources). Below is some basic information.

Pendulum Scrying

Pendulum Scrying is normally used when you want an answer to a yes or no question. All you need is yourself and a necklace with a pendant on it, preferably a crystal. To scry follow these steps:

1. Hold the necklace between your finger and thumb with the pendant or crystal hanging down, and your elbow resting on a table or other surface to steady it.
2. Ask the crystal in your head or out loud what it will do if the answer to your question is Yes.
3. Ask the crystal in your head or out loud what it will do if the answer to your question is No.
4. Ask the crystal in your head or out loud what it will do if the answer to your question is unknown.
5. Each time you ask the pendulum, it will swing a particular way (e.g. Yes may be the pendant swinging diagonal to the top right or round in circles). Record or remember these answers. WARNING: If you do not keep your hand still you will get false results. Just hold your hand still and it will swing.
6. Ask the crystal in your head or out loud the question which you want to know the answer for and it will reply if you have done everything correctly.

Pendulum Scrying is not always totally accurate and you will not always get perfect results, but most of the time you will get the correct answer. This is especially true when you have a lot of patience and practice.
Pendulum Scrying works because your brain sends subconscious movements to your fingers so don't worry if your hand is moving and you did not tell it to. Once someone was pendulum scrying with a crystal and it flew off to the other side of the room, but this is unlikely to happen as this was an exceptional result. You are likely only to see small movements, but these will speak truths.
